Even the alogrithms are set up to show only the best looking men to women. I.e tinder used to be free now you have to pay hundreds of dollars if you wanna be included in the swipe algorithm...

No, this is not true, there are more women than men on dating apps. Like Tinder for example, it’s almost 80% men, so of course women are going to come across a lot more options than men. Of course they can’t swipe right on everyone it’s too many people way more men than women on these dating apps.

Additionally the ratios on most dating apps are 3 men for every 2 women (60% men/40% women), except for Tinder which has a wildly inflated male population. If 80% of women are swiping only on the top 20% of men, regardless of how many men available. They are still only swiping on a small number of men. Whether they’re swiping on 2/10, 20/100, 200/1000, or 2 million out of 10 million. That’s still the vast majority of men being ignored. Your argument would only make sense if women could only match with one man. However they can match with many men. They are only choosing to match with the top 20%.

@@freudianslip2192 the reason why the only swiping on a small amount of men is because they’re too many men on the dating app to choose from the more men than women. Also, some of the men swiping right are simply swiping right on every woman to get a hook up, so just because a woman may seem to have more options doesn’t mean all these men are serious.

Apparently, it was the other way around. She said that a few years ago women felt their self-worth was hurting because men did not answer. She decided to implement a rule to apply coercion on men to protect women's egos. If the men did not respond within a timeframe he lost the ability to contact the women that started contact. I was not only disappointed but surprised as women have built careers by laughing, talking, and writing about how fragile the male ego is.
