Billy Johnson re-sets the Buttonwillow 13 Clockwise production car track record on his first lap EVER driving a McLaren Senna. Check out the data overlaying the McLaren Senna's lap with the previous record-lap from a McLaren 720s.

Fabulous video and details on the lap…. My guess is like many supercar owners is they don’t actually track it, more so hit cars and coffees. So glad new content is coming! Liked and fb shared!

Man, the setup choices on the car REALLY hindered things. Cornering speeds through all the low speed sections -- Grapevine, Phil Hill, Sweeper, etc. -- were on par with what I do in my Civic. Ouch. Clear to see how much you were fighting it. Betting a factory fresh Senna on the good tires might just crack a 1:40.

Do you know if the Corvette version of the cup 2 that came stock on 2019 z07 pack are as fast as some of the others? They're runflat and have about 75 to 80% left. Trying to decide if I'll run those at my next time attack at Buttonwillow or my regular Falken rt660 setup. Would love to hear any feedback. They're allowing anything 60 tw and above. But both options I currently have. Thanks! By the on a c7 z06 non z07 with some aero and little more power.

Isn't the track record at buttonwillow held by PZ Tuning's Civic, 1:37.308? Or is this best lap time in a stock car

Nice lap, love these videos. From the camera angle it looks like your pretty close to the wheel. Do you use the wrist on the top get right distance, or does that even matter to you? Also cant wait for a lap in a 197, maybe with the nt01s!!!

That's the best method and what I do. It's just the camera angle that throws off the perspective. I might do MotoIQs Project Budget 400whp S197 Track Car as an upcoming OLB video.

Great Job Billy. I love the re-engineering of a fine car by an American guru. Mclaren I'm sure spent several days on tracks with multiple professional drivers not as good as you and post rigs to set up that car and someone decided it wasn't good enough😂😂😂

Consider watching the video again, you'll see that I said the alignment specs and tire choice of this particular car was NOT what the factory McLaren engineers and drivers came up with.

@@OneLapBilly Well understood Billy. I am not calling you an America Guru. I know too well your ability to set up a car and rely it to race engineers. I listen really well to your comments on the video and your advises are 100% correct! Joe blow in his shop shouldn't re-engineer such a great car. keep doing what you are doing, it,s fun to watch.

I still would love to see like a 2016 Viper ACR, how that car stacks up today. I still think that's the hidden gem although the prices are soaring on the ACR especially the extreme.

I know of some people who are getting cars. Hopefully I'll get a chance to set a time on new sticker tires. Should be fast. Maybe even faster than this Senna lap!

those cars desperately need a wider front tire to match the aero....295/305 minimum....would require different wheel i'd imagine. Nice one on the shirt btw..

265/325 is enough it's not a front/mid engine car like the GT Black Series and Viper ACR
