I didn't trust myself to do that, I took the lazy route 😂 the Needle itself only has one notch on it so I wouldn't have been able to adjust the flow of fuel at 1/2 to full throttle, so I'm glad I bought a whole Carb. I do recommend doing this for anyone not wanting to buy a whole new carb though. Same concept for your Jets, if you trust your work you can increase the sizing of your jets with a drill bit.

When I was looking into buying this thing, I couldn't really find many videos on it. So I'm documenting my journey with it in great detail for those that are looking at what this bike looks like, sounds like, and common issues. Since I'm daily driving this thing I'll get to know it pretty well. I've been compiling videos by people that actually know what they are talking about so people can work on it themselves if they choose to do so. A lot of people with GY6 engines start out with a 50cc then immediately bore it out or buy a 150cc. I want to keep it 50cc, so others that want to do so as well have a general idea of what they may want to do.

It depends on what you're wanting to learn. It is an automatic, so you won't get the full motorcycle experience, and it's slow, but if your wanting to learn the basics I'd say it's a great starter. If you know how to ride a bike a little crazy you should be good. The biggest thing you need to learn is counter steering, and keeping yourself balanced at a snails pace, but you can use your feet once you are going slow enough. My videos are just for people looking to get this bike, and want to know what it looks like, sounds like, ect. When I was looking into getting this bike there wasn't much out there about this bike specifically, and I still don't think there is, but you can find videos all day about the motor it uses. It depends on your body weight, I weigh 130ish and mine goes 35mph. You should be fine with a stock carb, but at some point I would at least have it changed to an aftermarket one so you can tune your air to fuel ratio more accurately. It can be the exact same size, you don't have to go crazy, if you do decide you want to change it out, and tune it yourself (and you don't know what your doing, not that I'm saying you don't just offering knowledge) I have a playlist on my channel called "Scoot Stuffs" I'd give it a look. Videos by real mechanics and professionals, extremely detailed, and there are multiple videos on the same topic because some videos leave things out. @@drunkclown91 don't let my decisions hold you back, just be careful on how big you go with the big bore kit, because it thins out your head and makes it heat up faster, so if you are driving long distance you would be more prone to overheating, I don't know what the sweat spot is, you would have to do some research. I feel you, this is my ride for the foreseeable future

@@drunkclown91 I chose this model because I liked the Guages, they aren't exposed, and you aren't sitting straight up right, and being on a scooter you have to take the wind into consideration

@@Billy_The_Kid-oh no I understand haha, I read 80cc is a happy median. But also getting an actual cooler (simple instal) will help mitigate that. I gotta travel 12 miles to work and this 25-30mph doesn’t cut it. A lot of hills so that’s about my avg

It's doing much better than the stock one, I still need to buy jets for it though

@@Billy_The_Kid-did you conclude any performance increase? I’m at 500 miles now. Starting it I gotta give some gas for a minute

@@drunkclown91 if anything the jets that are in New carb are the same, I was just able to tune my idle so it didn't die when I come to a stop. I still need to do my valve adjustment and remove the EGR, but I need to find a block off plate. It's running better than when I bought it I know that for certain. I imagine I'll start seeing a power increase once I get the correct carb jets and adjust my valves

@@drunkclown91 in this video I have something plugging that 4 holed piece of plastic, try plugging up one hole. You may be running lean
