I've got the black and white version of this and it really is such a great watch to wear on a day to day basis. Watchgeek does a really good how-to regarding this model , how to reset the light timer from 1 to 3 seconds etc. Found it really helpful. Great review. , Dave 👍

I thought I liked the all-black version most but this yellow one is great! And the red one too... I love my DW5600HR. The 'squares' are just about perfect in my opinion for a blend of ruggedness and style.

This is my favorite colorway for the Casioak. As to the toughness of the G-shock line, I think it is unparalle to any other watch line. They are beasts and they will keep on going, no matter what you do to them. I actually love the way the resin cases gather battle scars. Great review Dave! I loved the b-roll footage on this one!

Great Video. Your kids are adorable! I love this watch so much that I own (3) Black/White, Camo Bezel, and Green/Black. Love the watch, feel, and weight. They have made a bunch of my more expensive watches jealous with the amount of wrist time they receive.

YOU FOOL. The first G-Shock of many, to be sure. They're incredibly addictive, and once you get one, soon you'll start looking at that 5600. Followed by a 6900. And then you'll want a solar-atomic.... followed by the blingy all metal 5000's. And soon that GPR-B1000 starts looking mighty fine to your eyes. Seriously though, good choice. Casio really has a hit on their hands with these. I love the 5600's and this has a very 5600 feel to it in terms of functionality and practical usefulness. I actually already have a bright red one, but just picked up a yellow model like this based on your enthousiastic review :D I didn't need much convincing, but it sure looks nicer in video then it does in Casio's own pictures.

Really liked the first few they released but these new colorways are fantastic. Great review will definitely get one when they are more widely available especially as they seem to be kid proof.

I have the grey on grey one and love it. Got the Solar Tough with the atomic module over Christmas and like it as well. With two atomic clocks on the islands, give it a go ! Enjoying your show!!

I'm a HUGE Casio fan. The Casioak isn't my jam but I do appreciate it's style and really dig the new colorways they've recently released. Glad you like it - at the end of the day, that's why we buy/wear watches - because they bring us JOY but has the added benefit of telling us the time (and more with G-Shocks). Just got this today, loving it and surprisingly lighter than expected

Also, if you like analog Casio with normal size case, check out their edifice line. I will probably buy one of those eventually, if I ever find a ESQ500DB-1A1 available with reasonable price.

Just got the yellow gshock in today, blown away, it's fantastic. In every way better than the red. Very interesting they're both the same design yet the choice in materials is very different. Also the day subdial on the red version is very inaccurate and needs adjustment every couple of days. Yellow seems spot on so far and is definitely made with a softer rubber than the red. It appears bright yellow in videos but it's more of a mustard yellow.

Was looking for the Stealth model with no luck but glad as when saw this it became my 1st choice. Very nice and for 105usd an absolute bargain!

I can definitely understand why you need a G-Shock to watch TV! I have 5 Casios; for me, they're the finest watch for the price. The one (red) G-Shock I have is the smallest analog model I could find, so yes, this "OAK" might be worth my attention, since it does seem to wear smaller.

I have the camo one. I put the G shock 16mm adapters on it, along with a camo nato strap. The camo nato strap's pattern very closely mimics the bezel camo design.

It’s a must have! Can’t decide between green and yellow though. Hmmm, tough decision.

I just watched your video. Guess what I'm wearing? A copy of this great CasiOak. I've ordered on eBay shortly after I've watched your previous video on best 10 digital watches under 200 $ (this among them). So, you're the main reason why I have my yellow CasiOak on my wrist. Another cool feature is the lack of the second hand. That would remind me it's quartz and all my other watches are Automatic (so quartz is kinda "meh" on me). I've seen a video that the straps from GM 5600, GM 6900 are perfectly interchangeable with GA 2100.👍

I have a 5600 solar model. Have had it for 3 yrs, not a scratch on the mineral glass. Could be because of the way the glass on a 5600 is recessed in. But Casio watches are just incredibly tough. Even the non GShock types last a long time. You can't go wrong with these.

I have the grey one, and at the beginning when the original 3 released I was skeptic plus I didn't want a G shock with negative display. But the grey one - sits just right.

These are going to be the gateway entry for a lot of people into more fashionable G-Shocks IMHO. There's a smaller mid-size version of these marketed for ladies but some colors are unisex (black and white) the new model is GMA-S2100. Also read some news that the same mid-size model will also come in stainless steel case! For $180 - $200 depending on the color. I have a 6.5" wrist so these new ones appeal to me. These are even thinner at 11mm and case diameter of 42mm. Not bad! I just wish they had more features! It would be the perfect workout watch! ⌚👍

Congrats bro on the long spiral your collection is about to go down. I still think you should consider going back to the beginning and consider one of the G Shock Squares. I don't know what the prices are in Japan but from various sources you can get a one with Tough Solar and Multiband 6 or one that even adds Bluetooth functionality for less money than the model you reviewed. Stateside I can't justify the cost because of the lack of amenities I just mentioned ✌🏽 Your model is dope though and I'm trying to use reason to keep me from getting one 😂🤦🏽‍♂️

Put the light to last 3 sek(the maximum) I bought this yellow beauty because of your prev.video. It is amazing watch, very fun, stylish and destinctive. The only thing that i dont like is the negative display which is hardly readable. Also the mineral glass in combination of the black dial makes a lot of light reflection. Anyway I am in love with this watch and donot take it out since it arrived

I have the red yellow and earth grey G-SHOCK ga-2100 line. They all look amazing but yes the yellow is definitely the best. Grey is close second

A G-Shock recommendation: GW-B5600 : Solar, Wave ceptor (multi-band 6), Bluetooth, G-Shock. Another Casio (not a G-Shock) is the WVA-M640 - Analog/Digital, Solar, Wave ceptor. Note: Japan has 2 of the 6 worldwide transmission stations.

The only G-Shock I use now as my "beater" for work and recreation. I have it in the black with with markers. Finally a slim(er) G-shock! Highly recommend.

I'd like the case with a full digital display. Also, the lume on my Nighthawk sucks compared to my SKX009.

I've got a green on on the way although I'm doing a full metal conversion. I believe the straps are interchangeable with any of the new quick release straps though I haven't actually tried it yet, I think there might be a video about it on here somewhere. indowatch is where I saw it, GA-2100 & 2110 straps are interchangeable with 5600 variants & both will take the H link bracelet.

Now that your into small g shocks you will need to look at the protrek analog watches prw50/60 series that arent too huge and have everything

I think the difference between the ga2100 and the ga2110 is that in the ga2110, the bezel is made separately from the case and then 'molded' together. There have been other ga2100 in which the bezel and case are different colors, so i don't believe different colors is the only reason for it to have a different model number.

i had this yellow one for a few months now and the band has been discoloring to green/black...any solutions? i've tried all sorts of washing and scrubbing

I have the red ga-2100 and the yellow one arrives tomorrow! Really hoping the yellow one has soft rubber like the traditional black models. First thing I noticed on the red is it's actually different material, still somewhat soft but very slick and causes irritating squeaks on the lugs anytime you move or stretch, not really a fan of that and makes it feel very cheap Also wouldn't have purchased if i knew only the red version came with a plastic strap end piece whereas all others come with metal.

Also I noticed with my red version when using the feature to move hands out of the way it sounds like 2 pieces of sandpaper moving around each other, does yours do this? And everybody else's always go to the 11 o'clock position mine goes wherever it wants in a different spot everytime? Is mine faulty or something?

Very nice. I love the yellow and really want one, but they not available in the US. Or settle for the camouflage or green models, which are available in the US. I might as well not settle and just order the yellow from an overseas seller.

I got the green 😎 for 84 Euro in Germany about a month ago. I had a Gshock about 3 years ago and the battery died but the casing cracked so I couldn't fix it so it was not as tough as I expected. I hope the casiooak. I bought it for the water resistance tough quality. Hopefully it will not crack where the strap attaches. I was concerned about the mineral glass crystal and it has held up perfectly, better than other watches with mineral glass. No scratches so far and I am constantly banging my hand on steel posts. I have not used the alarm, nor do I need to. I am looking for a nice watch like a hamilton or seiko. The lume is that great but it is not s minus.

Very cool looking G-Shock, not to mention you don't often see a mob attack in a watch review. I've been in the same boat for a while. Have to check one out at some point, but where to start is a bit intimidating. Not to mention they seem to have their own subculture as well.
