Why grade? They will just make 10 the new standard in 5 years.

How do you know when new 9.8 get added to the senses is that a feature you need to be paying a subscription for ?

Once they milk the 9.9s for all they are worth. They should then be more lax and add more 10.0s lol

CGC is a business and they are using us. They give you a 9.9 so we send more comics to be slabbed by them. It is up to us. When their business is going down again in the future they will grade more 10's.

Hey Ryan. Like the other commenter said, thanks for doing these vids. I love information on potential books to buy and you do a great job. Kudos. I wanted to talk about GI Joe #1 and your worry about the current prices for a 9.8 compared to the prices before the comic boom. While I agree that almost $1000 for a 9.8 might be high where the supply is close to 1000 copies and we might be due for some pullback, comparing it to the pre comic boom prices (around $350) may not be the best way to judge a book like GI Joe 1 or Transformers 1 that are properties steeped in nostalgia. Could be GI Joe 1 was simply undervalued back in 2018/19 and current prices are more indicative of where the value should be, especially when you consider the popularity of the current Image titles and potential future film franchises. Like you, I’m waiting to see where this book is in 6-12 months before determining whether or not to buy.
