Hi friends,
In this video I will show you my first picks from the new Chanel Spring 2024 makeup collection. The new Chanel spring makeup collection features two beautiful limited edition les 4 ombres eyeshadow palettes in 78 Rivage and 88 Coral Treasure. I love both eyeshadow palettes. The colors are beautiful and the formula is lovely. I also love the new Chanel spring 2024 Lumière De l’océan Highlighter. This is something that I will enjoy to wear in the spring and summer season. I will not wear the new highlighter in the office because it is quite shimmery and the little glittery particles are visible on the face but I like the fun and youthful effect that it gives to my skin. I sold Chanel cosmetics 24 years ago (how can that much time have passed??) and I am still a huge fan of their makeup, and also probably a bit old school. I loved this video and I ended up clicking through and spending almost 300 dollars on the new collection. 😂 Both palettes are beautiful, but the blue is my favorite, and that highlighter really is incredible! I can’t wait to try everything.

Oh Angela you made me so happy about this collection and even more excited! I ordered almost the entire collection yesterday online and immediately had doubt and buyers remorse afraid I would not like it but your review has put me at ease. The highlighter was the one that I was most excited about and most unsure at the same time but it looks so enigmatically eye catching and magical on your cheeks. Yes it makes you look more youthful and bright and light catching (dolphin like 😉) This collection makes me so excited about spring and summer and beach days watching the water glistening in the sunlight. Makeup can be inspiring and lift your mood even in the coldest winter days. And this collection does that for me. How exciting! It makes me look forward to the rest of the year coming up for Chanel. I look forward to you doing more videos with this collection. I’m sad when creators jump to the next collection and stop talking about previous collections because it isn’t “new” anymore. Chanel's new collection is absolutely beautiful! I do gravitate towards blues so the Rivage palette and the highlighter I definitely like. Surprisingly, I really like the coral palette as well. Wish I had $200+ sitting around. 😆😉😛

Thank you Angela for the review and demos! I wasn’t really for this collection since I’m more into neutrals or smokey eye looks. The highlighter looks so beautiful on you, I agree it’s gives you a more youthful look! I’m not into sparkly highlighters, but it does give a unique effect. I also liked how you used the coral palette, quick, easy and so beautiful on you. I actually like the pink look you did more than the blue. On the fence for most of the collection, torn on the Rivage palette but I do want to get the duo blush and the nail polish.

Both eye colours looks so beautiful on you , one is a flower filled vacation in Provence and the other the elegant south of France coast ! I see the Dior glow products have arrived in the UK I am so tempted but temptation will have to be on hold as I found too many great Guerlain skincare deals this month which took all my budget as I am so in love with their products 😍

Both eye looks are beautiful, Angela! You created simple and wearable looks that can go from day to night. I wasn’t at all interested in the highlighter, but now I want it! The glass-like skin is such an incredible look, and I do find it to be youthful as well.

My thoughts about these two eyeshadow palettes: Coral Treasure - I don’t like the orange/coral shades and I know I will never wear. The other 2 pink shades are ok but I already have 3-4 palettes with pink shades. So I don’t need 2 more pink shades. Ombres Rivage - Baby blue is not a colour I want to have in my collection. The others 3 colours I’m not sure how visible will be on my eyelids and at least 2 of them looks very close to skin colour. The highlighter - I don’t like wet effect or shiny cheeks (it doesn’t matter what brand it is). The new Chanel duo colour blush has 2 identical colours from coral eyeshadow quad. This Chanel collection is a hard pass for me. Is not available yet in my country but when will be I’ll go in store to see them because I am curious about the formula. Today I tried the new Burberry eyeshadows and they are stunning. They have a silky texture, satin/matte finish (depending on the shade) and they are very pigmented. For people who want very wearable, office friendly or everyday eyeshadows they are perfect. Definitely I’ll buy 2 of them. I love Chanel makeup but this doesn’t mean I like all new releases just because is Chanel. Same with any other brand (makeup or not) I love. Not every new collection is nice only because is about one of my favourite brand. Thanks for sharing!:)

Hi Angela! Thank you for featuring this new collection. I like both eye quads on you. I wear a lot of pink, coral and salmon shades in summer so I am tempted by the Coral Treasures quad, although the 2 orange shades look too redundant (what was its creator thinking?) - I hope you will post a second opinion video, in which you apply all the Coral Treasures shades. Hi Angela, both palettes look beautiful on you. I am a great CHANEL lover as well so I cannot wait for my purchase to arrive. No.88 seams to offer multiple colour combinations. So please do a video showing different colour combinations with the 88 and different lipsticks red and pink. I am blown away by the potential of this eyeshadow palette. Whereas 78 is a bit disappointing I think, the brown is too light and hardly visible on your skin, so I presume being in skin colour 20/30 with green eyes and blond hair I would need a darker brown from Elemental or Clair-Obscur not to end up with just one colour blue eye lid . Also, please do another video showing 78 again, with different ways to place the blue. I am also so much looking forward to the new lipsticks, cannot wait. best wishes ❤️

Hi Angela! These are very pretty Spring palettes. I think the Rivage looks interesting & highlights blue eyes nicely! Also I wanted to tell you I received my Dior 525 Cherie lipstick and I absolutely love it!! 💕💕💕 It is a gorgeous unique color, perfect for Spring. I also really enjoy the formula. It feels very comfortable and moisturizing, so I went ahead and also ordered the shade 'Osee.' for a nice, Spring pink! 😊

Dearest Angela, I have fallen a bit behind in your videos and plan to catch up this weekend! I had to watch this one as I have been looking forward to seeing what you think about this new release. I could imagine that many would have a problem with this release, some really loving it and others really hating it, but from my perspective, I think this is a wonderful idea and hope that Chanel continues this trend. I think the release of two palettes where one is a more traditional, elegant palette and one with more fun and out-of-the-box colors, really is the best of both worlds. I started out like many thinking that the blue-brown palette would be my favorite but I love the more pink-coral so much. The highlighter is stunning and is going to be the most popular part of this release. I will be keeping my eye out for what gets released here in the USA. I really wish that brands would release all of their products in each country. Maybe if a particular color palette speaks more to the Asian market then only send a few of the palette that wouldn't be more popular but still release it so that people who really want it don't have to hunt it down around the globe and spend a small fortune to get it and have it shipped. I finally got the Eclat de Nuit palette but before I could find it I seriously considered buying it from an Asian shop and the shipping was going to be almost 50 USD and that didn't include the actual palette. I just had to be patient for it to arrive in the USA and it eventually did but not all releases are featured here, any more than they are in other countries. I am working backwards to see the other videos so I am excited to see the lipstick release. Thank you so much and have a wonderful weekend. Deborah

You came across my youtube feed this week and I've now watched a couple of your videos, which are all fabulous! I don't wear much make-up up but you've intrigued me and I went to look at the Chanel and Dior make up in John Lewis yesterday (didn't try just looked). This video has hooked me and now I will buy these make-up sets. I absolutely love the blue and the coral as well the new highlighter. What a good video, your opinion is always so pure and honest, and the products looks super fabulous on you, dear Angela!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩 The highlighter as well, it's not for me, but looks so gorgeous on you!!! The eyeshadows, don't know how much i would use them, still have so much eyeshadows, but very good example's, not using to much all at once, not using an entire quad, different than what most people do, but that's what i love so much about you and your channel, not to much products/colours at one time, and than the next time other colours, using what you already have as well! If i would purchase this, well, it would be both, or nothing. Why? Because no makeup brand can make a good face palette, and, with the corals also, and the brown shade in the cooler palette, i would not use the light blue shade a lot maybe, but all of the other colours, well, the shimmers with caution. Dear Angela! First, I want to say that so many of the products I have purchased based upon your recommendations (after I discovered your channel last year), they have been fabulous products for me. I had already purchased Chanel's Rivage eye shadow palette, because I have the most wonderful Chanel SA who lets me know about new releases. However, I did not think I would like the Coral Treasure eye shadow palette and the Lumiere highlighter. Since watching your video, I decided to go on and purchase these two products, as well. I'm looking forward to "playing" with them when they arrive! Finally, from your video about the new Lady Dior Parfume, I purchased it online and received it today! Oh my goodness, it is the most beautiful perfume with an exquiste scent. I just love it, and I am extremely picky about my perfumes. I love the highlighter - just ordered it. Gorgeous. And I’m a contrarian, I think the pink shadow is beautiful on you. So striking. Gives your face such brightness. The Rivage is lovely but the pink is extra special. Pops your blue eyes, especially with the black mascara. I got the Rivage and my skin is much ruddier so don’t think the pink will do the same for me sadly. But you -😍

I am so SO happy! when i saw this collection, i worked for Chanel beauty for 4 years and only in 2018 i saw something so exciting as this! I'm delighted that Chanel are finally catching up with the times, as being classy should not be synonymous of "boring" which honestly, they have been in the last couple of years, too safe, too many shades of brown and gold, coppers. I will probably grab most of the collection except the blush and the brown ish nail polish.

I bought the Coral Treasure, the blush and the mermaid Baume. All of them are beautiful especially the eye shadow which is stunning on my eyes. I don’t like blue on my eyes so I passed on the Rivage. I was unsure about the highlighter. 🙋‍♀️🇬🇧

I love the idea of the palette with the blue but blue has been a ‘no no’ for years. I’m worried it would age me as if I’m back in the 80’s.

Interesting that the highlighter looks quite pink on you! I picked it up today but wasn’t able to swatch it first because they did not have a tester. On my skin tone I see a blue shift. I think I will end up using it on the eyes or brow bone.

Hi Karen, I was going to comment on that in my favorites video. When I look up close the highlighter it has blue and sometimes purple shift depending on the lighting and the time of the day. But then when i apply it to my skin it gets pink-ish shift which I find very interesting. I've never seen something similar before.

Also, the blue eyeshadow palette looks great, but the coral/pink palette looks so much more elegantly “you.” The coral palette will also look amazing during the summer with tanned skin, and will suit those with olive & deeper skin tones. I’m definitely getting this palette & the highlighter.

Beautiful looks, Angela, I picked up both quads, blush, eyeliner and one of the lip balms in anemone . Still thinking to add coralline lip balm. The highlighter looks really beautiful on you. I skipped it. I already got all three oversized ones and holiday duo, so I don’t think I need another one lol 😂 i do like oversized white one. I just buffed it in, and it doesn’t create texture. I mean the new one does look more visible, but honestly if we would not know that you put two separates, nobody would not notice that you are wearing two different highlighters, well at least on the screen it’s not such a huge difference. So if I never picked up the oversized one, I probably would get it. Have a blessed day🙏❤️

When I saw the first pictures I thought I was going to love the corals-pink one, cause it goes so much with my make up colours. But now I'm also in love with Rivage, because that blue and the brown, are just so pretty... And that's quiet a problem for me, cause I have just made a big travel...but I can't avoid those, I know I will have a lot of fun and use it so many times. So I think I'm going to go for both palettes...and hope I don't love next realeases.

Noone seems to have compared the lilac iridescent shade in the Les 4 Ombres 88 Coral Treasure with the recent Chanel Les Beige release of the cool palette, which seems to have a similar colour in that palette. Do you have a video where you have compared the two similar shades? xx

I got the Mermaid Baume stick, which looks beautiful on mature skin, seems to be added to the regular baume stick line, it is not labeled limited edition. Anyone wanting it can *probably* wait on it if it sells out. I would rather Chanel hires someone young, I can decide what to use of it on my mature skin. Their eyeshadows collection has been so dark and smoky fo a long time. These new eyeshadows wii surely appeal to the new young people who are Jennie fans. Her hiring as a brand rep is an example of a good young hire.

Nice video Angel ❤ I was wondering your opinion about this collection. I think is far away from Chanel aesthetic and the highlighters ( pan and stick) are too glittery. Something I would give to my niece but never wear or put on a client as a MUA. Very disappointed. Trying to figure out what Chanel has in mind 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😅

I’m so annoyed with Chanel! The collection is not yet in the U.K. and I really, really want the blue palette, the blush and now the highlighter too! I don’t understand why people don’t like this collection. All of it is so pretty! I personally won’t get the coral as those colours don’t suit me as well as the blue and I have enough similar ones in other palettes to not need the extra corals and pinks.

Hi Angela ! This is so strange : usually Chanel makeup looks good on me. Not this time. I have a light pinkish face and eyeshadows from this collection are invisible on me. The only way to see them is to spray a brush with water before using it. 🤷🏻‍♀️. Blush looks great and nothing to say about highlighter. Again invisible . Just shimmery particles. Looks like my child’s makeup. I am upset, I waisted so much money on it.

I watched all reviews of this collection that is out until now and funny enough all reviewers went for blue initially but ended up liking coral more. both looks are beautiful. this collection is very nice and I appreciate uniqueness but I think for lots of people there be no everyday items to purchase especially in this tough financial times ...yes HIGHLIGHTER is stunning but where is every day woman going to wear it?

Hi Julie, No, they are different. The highlighter is more cool toned and has blue/purple and violet shimmers. And the shimmery shade in the blue palette is more warm and has beige and champagne shimmers. I will post photo tomorrow morning in Instagram stories and in the community tab on KZfaq. xoxo

Don’t like this blue eyeshadows. Looks cheap like very very very cheap on eyes as you picked it from 1 cent store as single shadow and don’t really know how to use it. Maybe for 12 yo as first eyeshadows it will look better, maybe. And I absolutely love coral eyeshadow palette and pink looks great!
