Hello Ilana! I think this has LESS of a chance of going orange on you than the chanel and certainly less than the Charlotte. But I hear you. With fair skin it’s hard. Some prefer the WA as it’s a contour and therefore a bit less warm up start. Hmmmmm

I see this as very different the Chanel, Jennifer. Oh do you mean the new powder Chanel? Then IMMEDIATE yes on liking this better. The newer cream Chanel, it's a tie. Chanel for more of a bronzing affect, this for a more all over glow. This is a LOVELY product. A bit goopy but lovely on the face.

I think, in the hands of someone capable, such as yourself, contouring definitely has a place. Why? Because it works. It honestly truly just works. Playing with light and shadows is the essence of the artistry. So I bet you would miss it if you gave it up because it’s just such a refined look. And creamy gel cream makes sense to me, by the way. So I think your grammar is absolutely perfect.

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Yes, you are so right: I would totally miss it. It’s something I do by definition and by default, if you know what I mean. Many times I skip blush (I know, the horror!!), but not contouring. It IS a refined look and I always try to make it look “natural” (when obviously it’s very far from natural if you’re adding a shadow.) If it was a true shadow (natural), it wouldn’t be permanent!! The shadow would shift with the light as you moved your head and the sun changed positions!! 😅 I agree it’s part of artistry, and so is bronzing. Not sure it’s best in the hands of a complete non-artist such as BB, though!!! 🤓🥰🥰💖

Maureen, you and I are cut from the same cloth. I hate the hair stick with lipgloss too!!! Huge judging component. Hair does NOT stick and I look for that so that's a true assessment. Great idea to compare to the existing gel bronzer. That one is more of a straight forward bronzer for definition. This, because it's so smooth and sheers in one tone, is more for warmer from the perimeter of the face inward, can be more haphazard and can be worn everywhere, including body, and can be added to foundation, skincare, etc. As can the other, I realize, but this one more easily.

Hello Barb! The DE product is very similar in use but not in texture. The DE is almost an oil based light gel drop where is this is actually a slightly thicker gel cream. So the difference is more in the texture and the similarities are upon application, I agree. The DE will also act a little bit more like a face oil whereas this Chantecaille will feel almost like a moisturizer. So it’s truly just textural. 💕

I mix DE D’bronzi with Sulwhasoo moisturizer cream and I love the outcome. My face immediately gets a life. I have been using it for several years now.

This is a great question that a few people have asked. This is more of a perfection product that also kind of warms the skin rather than an actual bronzer. For instance, if you wanted to, you could apply this all over your face. There’s no coverage as such but it warms the skin and kind of plumps and deages whereas the gel bronzer is specifically a bronzing product for the perimeter of the face, if that makes sense.

Hello Anitra. No coverage per se and the only glow is that kind of natural glow from the gel creme rather than the highlighter type glow from HFF, if that makes sense.

That is a great question, Diane. It’s a tough one to answer mostly because we are talking such a huge difference in texture. This texture is definitely cooling and gel like. This will give you a more dewy complexion whereas the By Terry, which I also love, is a more glowing almost sparkly complexion. Sparkly is way too strong of a word by the way. I like this better as a product to mix in with a foundation. And the by Terry is much more of a finishing product. You could even use them together, to be honest and they would be beautiful. But they just kind of would be used at different stages of the routine and for a slightly different but competing luck. I think I need to try them together actually. You have given me an idea.

It really is not an apples to oranges kind of comparison because the Chanel is such a straightforward bronzer and this is more of a kind of overall glowing look that you could even put on the entire face if you wanted. But could you moisturize and then apply the Chanel and get a similar look? Quite possibly actually and you would save the money. Certainly worth trying!

Hello Rosa! The answer is complicated. I would say yes but also no. Yes in that the texture is similar but the product you already have is more of a gel. And the foundation is more of, as the name states, a second skin and has more coverage. So though they are similarly packaged and have a slightly similar feel they will feel a bit different on the face, if that explanation makes any sense. Definitely worth a sample. I’m wondering if they might even want to send you out one from the website if you cannot get to a store. Because I would love to have you try it first rather than assuming it will be exactly the same and being a tad bit disappointed. Let me know your thoughts.
