In this GTA Online video I will show you the new way on how to transfer your GTA 5 Online account from old generation GTA 5 Online to the next generation version of GTA Online! This new way to transfer lets you still keep your old progress you had on your account without it being permanently deleted on old gen when transferring like before when it first released. This way I will be showing to show GTA players to transfer their account to next gen is only for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, which are the current top consoles in the console space currently.

I've responded to some of you and I'll make my own statement for some people asking about migrating to pc and have migrated before and after the update, try to help out as much as i can myself! Migrating to pc. You canned migrate to pc. This is only a console to console migration. Old gen to new gen. Migration before and after update. Once migrated before the update to a new console. Your GTA Online charecter is lost from the old gen consoles. It might be fixed soon but no data is discovered on remigrating accounts to another next gen console. After the update. For the people who will or have migrated to next gen. Your online character will also be on old gen consoles. Basically another game version. Anything spent is entirely separate! Don't have to worry about losing money on next gen and old gen. Only if you choose to pay for stuff on both gen consoles. Let me clarify. If you are on old gen and pay for a new car or weapon. That car or weapon will only be on old gen, your next gen will not be affected by the purchase. Unless you are on next gen and buying stuff. They are two separate versions with the same stats but won't affect any outcome what you do on next gen or old gen. Hope that atleast sums up all the questions about some stuff. If you have questions. I'm more likely to help out! :D

This is what happened to most of my friends they Migrated before the Update that's why they had to make a New Account and lost everything and had to Start all over from level 1. but now sense the update you still get to pickup where you left off I still have all my Stuff, I transferred over this past July 31, 2023.

@@Mewtwo_150 yes. When you migrate you keep it on both gen consoles. The money will then be split up. So when you pay for something it won't effect the payment on the other gen console.

Yes as long as you didn't Migrate before the Update I migrated after the update back on July 31, 2023 and I still have everything. I noticed a lot of players are now in the lower levels that's because they Migrated before the New Update.

For the first time me being late to the party turned out to be a good thing. I didn't rush out and buy a PS5 at launch. I still haven't got one. I'm currently playing GTA Online on my PS4. This saved me from migrating before the update. Keeping your previous gen data after migration is something that should have been done in the beginning. Sucks that a lot of people lost their accounts on previous gen because they migrated before the update.

Well, what would rockstar have to do? They need to delete all the new gen features u have on your account, which is very easy to do, by just making a detect and delete system where u just code in everything which needs to be deleted from the account. The second way is by only letting u keep your money and level, and delete your cars and stuff, which would make 0 sense but take less time for them. BUTTT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A COMPANY MORE LAZY THAN EA FUCCING SPORTS. So the answer to your question is NO, there is no revert button because the company the game is owned by is RETARDED

If you have the New Next Gen of GTA V the 2 in 1 version. you are better off getting 2 separate copy's that way you can switch back at anytime do not Migrate and still keep your same Character.

nope, if you are on next gen version of GTA you can only play with other players on next gen version of GTA so if your friend still has the old GTA you cannot join him and he cannot join you as it’s a completely different game

Does anyone have any troubles regarding there Echo in there Headsets if so I have a Solution go into your settings on Series X or PS5 and Set to MONO that will fix the Echo problem, I had the same issue on my Series X until I switched from Stereo to Mono Problem Solved.👍✌

i think you can create a character on the new one and once you are fully loaded in, you can click pause-> online-> migrate profile. i did this a while ago but i’m not sure it still works

Came back to GTAV after a year or so and wanted to migrate to PS5 (i had previously done this already in the beginning of the ps5 version but reverted that not long after because i had messed something up) now i want to go back and it says my account is not eligible to migrate and Rockstar support won't help either... because of the new migrating method or so... guess they lost a player (not that they would care)

Okay months ago I transferred to the new gen bc of getting Xbox x and I still have the old gem gta downloaded but my problem is when I load up old gen gta it’s trying to make me make a new account, how do I make it to where I can play on old gen too?

I did this from my ps4 to ps5 but I don’t have the nightclub anymore? Nor the character on the ps5 I tried switching characters but it’s not there

@@giovannitomassetti6001 I've heard some say they placed a ticket with Rockstar claiming they had no knowledge of losing their old gen progress when transferring and assumed the same applied as transferring from ps3 to ps4. Claimed they got their account back a few emails and days later.

A question I put my PlayStation 4 online account on my PlayStation 5 way before rockstar did migrate account so will I have my old PlayStation 4 account still for online?
