Gosh you look amazing I love how you also blended the blushes!! I don’t have any of her face palettes or the hourglass ones I’ve never seen one where I felt I would actually use all the shades. I am similar to you in skin tone but somewhat warmer more olive than you so I think I would love the deeper one and you know how I love to save my points and cc rewards for spendy items like this so I’m ready for when it arrives at Sephora! Oh no these are so beautiful! I say "oh no" because they're pricey but I won't be able to stop thinking about them, especially the lighter palette. I decided to skip the Hourglass palette but I think I will have to splurge on this one. I just love pink shades, I think we all do! So universally flattering. Great review as always Rebecca!

I’ve got light skin but ordered the medium to deep because the colours spoke to me more. If I use a light hand I can get even the deepest shades to work for me. It’s winging its way to me as I speak and I can’t wait to try it out ❤

These are so pretty! I love that they are in separate pans so it’s easier to use each color or mix if you desire. I was going to get the round compact but didn’t because I knew it would be a pain trying to get just one stripe of color out. I am fair but am leaning toward the darker one!

AGREED. The only way to use the round compact was all swirled together. SO true. It became just...for looks that they were "separated."

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Exactly! I took the round one in and out of my basket about a million times and finally realized it wasn’t for me. I liked the aesthetic of it but it wasn’t useful. These on the other hand, are something I would hit pan on! I might need to see them in person though. I love the red in the deeper palette but I detect the dreaded “Tilbury Orange” in the other blush. The lighter palette looks more neutral.

I have watched a few “unpopular” opinion videos and the one opinion that comes up in every creator’s video is “CT products all have an orange undertone”. I used to think this about Tarte. Maureen is also a redhead so she made products for herself initially. Either they were sold or she started listening to feedback because Tarte products don’t skew as orange anymore.

When I read any of the marketing brand speak where I can hear Charlotte’s voice in my head, they talk about the “gorgeous pink,” I think, hard to do in Print, but it’s like the voiceover running in my mind corrects it to a dull monotone “orange” after they say pink. Ha ha

So pretty!!! I’m glad she came out with two palettes! I have the discontinued Lovegasm which she came out with the Lightgasm palette. I wish these new palettes had a bronzer included but it is still gorgeous!

@@traciewarren1070 RIGHT! Two blushes, ok. But two highlighters not needed. Take out the one we've already seen and give a bronzer. I'm telling you. Brands avoid bronzers now because that is where they are chastised by consumers about shade choice.

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty That’s true. I know everyone wants things just perfectly made for them🤣 Of course as a person of color, I pay attention to the options offered by a brand. So if CT or any brand launched individual bronzers or foundations that were not inclusive, I’d be a bit miffed but a face palette, nope. I’m far more forgiving on the options offered in a face palette because the brand can’t accommodate the wide variety of skin tones and preferences. I’m weird, maybe. 😂Well yes I am weird 😂

I've got a skintone similar to tours, and after the swatches of the two palette I tought that the darkest was more pigmented, and the dark hilighter could be used as blush topper for me, instead of the second hilighter I would have insert a bronzer shade...

These are beautiful! I was going to skip on them because I like the peachy tones in the medium/deep palette but as a very fair ginger that sounds like something I cant use. But when you used it I wondered if this palette might still work on me. the multiglow could work as blush topper or as a standalone glowy blush. the dark Blush might give me a sunkissed/burnt look with the lightest hand and a fluffy brush. is it the Rephr 5 brush you used with it? thank you for Demo these palettes for us Rebecca!

That is indeed the rephr 5. One of my favorite brushes, Cornelia! I totally see your dilemma. This is a tough one. If it doesn’t work it will be terrible. If it works, as you’re hoping, it would be ethereal and pretty. You almost need to try in store first. Sigh! I’m so sorry. How frustrating.

Beautiful, but I passed on this because I have lots of blushes and I have plenty of high lighters. I splurged on Dior instead. I really liked her palette from last year, maybe if this had a bronzer I would have splurged on this too?

I think brands are staying away from adding bronzers. Too much upset about shades deep and fair. I think they stick to shades with more reach.

Another great video! If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to suggest a blush/highlight roundup video to capture which is the best of all these blush/highlight releases (Chanel's upcoming tweed blushes, Gucci, Natasha Denona, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, etc) -- kind of like the summertime when it was one bronzer release after another! Pat McGrath and Dior have blushes and highlighters coming out, too, for holiday. So maybe after that. Thank you! :-)

I ordered the dark. It’s funny the color and formula doesn’t look like the other palette highlighter. I got the light in that one but I didn’t love that formula. I know I will love this one! I always purchase direct from the CT site, however, stewing in my grump after writing this last night, I went off a mooch around the Googles, searching, “Will CT ever restock Nudegasm?”. To my delight, it came up as still in stock in several reputable retailers, so it’s now safely in my basket, whilst I continue to search for the best discount code… after all, Smokey also said you should “Shop Around” 🤨. He is a wise man, indeed. 🤣🤣.

I knew you would prefer the darker palette, but both look beautiful on you, dear Rebecca!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩For a pass now, almost going to Rome (next Tuesday) but i already bought 2 of the new Hourglass palettes, and i have to force myself into cheek products, but i do, subtle highlighters and blushes. Bronzer never very subtle, also not over the top, but love to fake a little bit more tan. But beautiful palettes, and i see they make you so happy!!!!!!!!!! Actually, I am surprised the price didn’t go up!! CT face palettes are typically priced at $75, right?? Yes, it’s a pretty penny, but at least we’re not talking $78!!!!!! 😅 Now, the colors!!!!! Ohhhhh, noooooo, these are SOOOOO pretty!!!!! A very unique version of pink. It’s not quite peachy-pink, but it is. That doesn’t make sense and it’s gorgeous. I honestly want all of this year’s releases. Last year I remember feeling… “yeah, pretty, but I don’t really want it.” I am not sure what it is right meow, but this year I am feeling the opposite in terms of wanting!!!! Eeeek. 😻🤓💖

Exactly! I pretty much assumed it would be 78 so that is a very very good point that you make and yet others told me that what is essentially two blushes and two highlighters, it’s kind of a price raise in a way. I understand both points of view. In terms of the coral shade that you see, that might be just me. All of her pinks go a little orange on me. And that’s fine but it can also be a little bit frustrating.

Great point!! Obviously we should look at amount of product overall to do a fair price comparison, but the number of different products alone makes sense!! I’m so tempted but am still leaning towards the Hourglass elephant for versatility. Do I need more highlighter??? Seems that trend may be dying down somewhat? Thoughts on that? Would you say that the medium dark palette’s deep pink blush has a lot of blue?

Great video! What is your Charlotte foundation shade? Concealer shade? I'm curious as to how much lighter my skin would be to yours. I too have green eyes. I love the colours of the medium to deep palette but don't know that I could pull off those blush shades (especially the redder one). I ordered the light to medium and it's on its way to me now.

Hello Andrea! Pardon me in advance if this just confuses the matter more. I am generally a straight up five neutral in any sort of Charlotte Tilbury product. Her last beautiful skin foundation, however, they gave me a four warm when I was matched in store and I’ve never been a warm shade in my life but those shades and those undertones were really really weird. I can go anywhere from 3 to 5 in her concealers as well. I hope that helps. Let me know if you need more information however.

These are beautiful and I’m more drawn to the lighter one/pink one. But I chose to pick up the Nars cheek palette out of the ones I saw coming (Patrick Ta, CT, and Hourglass). The Nars palette was more practical for me, as it has a lot more blushes and I got 20% off. 😊 In my humble opinion, $75 is too much for that. Totally off topic, I saw Pat McGrath’s 5 pans were released this morning. Are you picking those up? Out of that whole collection, they were the only things that caught my eye. 😊

They are both stunning and thanks so much for showing them on the eyes, probably won’t see anyone else do that! I’m super fair skinned and I’d get the dark one, I would use the darker highlight either on the eyes or as a blush topper. HOWEVER I’m still awaiting the Pat McGrath face palettes as I think they’d be more appropriate for travel with the cardboard packaging. And I’d rather 1 highlight and more blush. And I can’t wait for your review of the CT single shadows! Exciting! Oh and these face palettes are $95 CAD. 😢😮

Hello Michelle! $95 Canadian is shocking. I’m sure you had to lift your jaw up off the floor. I was surprised, this morning, that Pat McGrath only released the smaller eyeshadow palettes. I figured she would do them with the face palettes but I guess that will be a third drop and I’m assuming that will be next week. She’s breaking it up for us so that our credit card bills are shocking but not with one charge. Ha ha

I agree the darker palette looks better on you but I wouldn't buy either of these. They tend to look more peachy, orange to me and that would not do...for me. So looking forward to the new single CT shadow review!! The compacts look Vintage!! 🥰🥰

Moreso with the new Nars, Goldie. The HG is more buildable. Nars and this CT do rely on brush choice. But this one can be applied lightly. But the formula between this and HG are very different.

I'm going to save myself $75 by passing on this launch. It's the two highlighters that makes it an easy pass for me. If one highlighter was swapped for a bronzer or another blush I would snatch it up.

I am waiting for the PML face palettes to come out to then see reviews for both brands and choose between. With this I wish I could have the lighter blush in both and chuck out the deeper blush based on my preference in tones. Though I am glad they don’t have bronze or contour as it is impossible to suit everyone and be inclusive but blush is a little easier. After all if you manage to find one fair enough it can still look odd or grey dependent on your undertone (e.g. olive skin suits bronzer more warm then most).

One bit of feedback would be to consider putting one different blush on either side and then mix to make it even, or one first then the other over the top (not both at the same time on the brush) - that way as a review it is easier to judge. Just keep it in mind in terms of what viewers may be after for the early reviews but up to you of course Rebecca.

I absolutely love this feedback, Amber. It’s funny because Charlotte Tilbury in my area seems to have changed their shipping partner and this arrived yesterday after I had wrapped up filming for the day and had very little time. I hadn’t prepared anything and I think I would’ve gone about this review entirely differently had I had some time to think about it but that would’ve gone into next week and make the review too late. Is it a strange thing to do KZfaq. You think you would have infinite time to make a nice video but there’s actually quite a lot of pressure. So I’m very frustrated by this one and I agree with your feedback. I also appreciate your feedback. I think you are 100% correct.

KZfaq always seems to preference quick reviews and the early bird gets the worm. (That being said personally I wait a little to really consider purchases now and often watch reviews from people I trust that are years old on products I am still interested in so I buck the trend). Thanks for taking the time to explain and please don’t take it as criticism for your efforts - just me trying to judge what the individual tones would look like and if I can pull off the deeper blush. Personally I am torn between the two palettes.

Natti. Yes and no. It really is about brush choice and I know that you understand the brush that you use will affect it so I don’t worry about you having issues. If somebody were new to applying make up they might really have a problem because if you use fluffy brushes the application of the blush will be so light on you that you would be frustrated. You have good brushes, I know, so just use a nice dense one and you will be much more pleased with the color pay off. Frankly, my brushes that I used were a little too fluffy. That’s just the truth. Notice how pigmented it was on the eyes because the eyeshadow brushes were dense.

Rebecca your review was actually the best out of anybody that I’ve seen but I think I’m still gonna pass because I don’t love pink blushes on me and I don’t need two highlighters I wish there was a bronzer in there in my opinion she should’ve done the two lighter shades of each pallet and made that it’s own palette and then the two darker shades in one pallets so it would be better suited for fair to medium and deeper skin tones because I love the darker palette better but the darker shade just will not work on me had she done what I’m recommendingI think it would’ve sold better

Audra! Thank you so much for that compliment. To be honest, I admit this review was a little bit rushed. She seems to have changed shipping partners in my area and I did not get the alert that it had shipped or would arrive so my general research that I do before a review wasn’t in place as much as I would’ve liked it to have been. So thank you very much. There’s also the danger of these going orange. As you noticed, perhaps, the darker of the two went a bit orange on me. That’s fine but it doesn’t stay pink. I think brands are staying away from doing too many bronzers in face palettes because that is where they get attacked by people for shade inclusion and such. Still, maybe another blush? Rather than two highlighters. Agreed. Your thoughts on the pallets are very very good.
