Join the concrete crew as we pour a couple concrete slabs for the purpose of testing out a new tool design I came up with. I am pretty excited about how things went and I am moving on to a final prototype and after that who knows. Enjoy

Ryan, I am 62, worked for a family excavating business all my life, septic systems, plowed snow, dig cellars, clear land and a little bit of concrete work. We closed up shop a couple of years ago, can't find good help and I wanted a change. Anyway in all my years I never once heard a thank you when asked to do something, but guess that is how a family business is. I now work for a local landscape co and my boss is a great guy, he always says thank you when he is done asking me to do something, it is a little thing but goes a long way. You always say thank you to your guys and I think they appreciate it. Love the vids, keep them coming!

300$ for just the stamp. 500$ for the stamp and colouring of the lettering and inner part. I think you will get more people to pay the 300$ and the extra 200$ would be for the colouring. Keep up the Good Work Ryan and your crew.

That's fair. $300 stand alone stamp. $100 for 1 color + $150 for each added color. As you get more complex and spend more time staining it you're not losing money on man hours Should be really low as an add-on like $100/150 if its going in a more complex design like stamped patio with border. The cost & time of stamping should really already be built into the price.

This is a novelty item and should be priced accordingly. This has the potential to really mess the workflow of the job depending on the location on the patio. 500 minimum. This would look out of place on many of the smaller jobs anyways.

500 for the stamp would be worth it if you colored the lines and N,S,E and W in contrasting colors. and you will find out pretty fast if no one goes for the price, then charge accordingly.

I would say eighty to one hundred dollars for the compass stamp, that is a very simple stamp and I would want to make money on the larger stamping jobs. I might even consider going cheaper if the customer orders a large stamp job already.

Regarding the stamp, I think 500 is pretty steep for just stamping it, but with a bit of staining it could be acceptable.

I'd imagine a stamp like this would be part of a complete job like texturing a whole patio, who would get it on a basic driveway, right? So yeah it's a bit steep if you're already having a bunch of the same prep done with other parts, if it's the prep and finishing in addition to the rest of the job...maybe the $400. If you gotta get all the stuff ready for a compass on a driveway just cause the customer wanted one right in the middle, no texture, staining, nothing anywhere else except a compass in the middle, $500.

@VictoryOutdoorService You should build a roof over the pad you poured behind the stamps to park the stand up bobcat and the other equipment to park under so its not out in the weather getting all rusted. When my dad started parking his equipment inside he said he had a lot less problems with it all. Just little food for thought....

Security has to be your main concern you would think. Maybe get driveway alarms run them from the back by the train tracks and the front. If they are tripped you would be notified and you prevent your equipment being stolen. That’s a lot of money i get that insurance would cover it but that’s a empty feeling. They would definitely target those machines or build a setup so they aren’t sitting out in the open.

Tito is a good dude. He did not hesitate to admit that he was the one who left the lights on; the rest of the crew would never have done that. He is much more knowledgeable and quickly picks up new things faster than the other three. If he had a reliable car, he would be the most dependable and best man you have, Ryan. The other three use you like an old floor mat. It angers me just how much you do for those idiots, and they seem to expect it. Not once have I seen any of them even pay for your lunch. You are way too good to a bunch of users.

I agree about Tino, he is a good dude and worker but come on man, that was a little harsh about the others. Especially Frannie, he is one of the best Ryan has. I like them all, they have thier flaws but they are not as bad as you make out.
