I didn't understand exactly how It works, but looks an advanced cool concept 🤔.

Just you can give more input and close up wind to push the handle

You saying the vertical breaks to go left and right and gears on the flat surface for the pivot to rotate going left to right. heavy weights on the end in a rolling process once started would create a momentum to go to the right and then when it hits the wall it returns in the other direction. it stops in the right place for the alternate weight up in the air can only fall back down in the reverse direction, it has to go back to the left and it keeps repeating... ah ah

My thoughts are that making something like this that self spins is a novelty, and clever, assuming it has no hidden power source. But I use the word 'novelty' to say it has no practical power output. In computer 3D modeling you can make an animation that works, and defies physics. Build the thing, to see if it really works. I am not one to say that some idea won't work, or can't work. The laws of thermodynamics were written by imperfect man. They are concepts based on science, that scientists, who are also imperfect and biased people, have written. I like to see people try and be creative with stuff like this.

"scientists, who are also imperfect and biased people" Scientists are Biased? No! Scientists follow the evidence and come up with Theories that are the best explanation, given the evidence. No one has ever made a perpetual motion machine and it will never happen. Perhaps you should read what Science says about Perpetual Motion machines. Why? Science will tell you! Animations are perpetual, but reality is not. Since there is friction from bearings, air, etc., for this to be perpetual, it would have to create more than 100% efficiency to overcome friction. No, this will not work and will fail. The laws of conservation of energy explain why. Law #1 is all you need *"Energy cannot be created or destroyed"*
