No. The Delhi Metro's initial foundation was done withsupport from Japan, but subsequent expansions were entirely domestically driven. Presently, India has metro systems in 17 cities, most of them manufactured domestically by Alstom and BEML, these companies have also exported India manufactured metro coaches to Canada and Australia.
