I bought one back in February. I absolutely love it. It will go all day long cutting 2x pressure treated wood on a 6 amp battery.

We use this saw for cutting aluminum. The double battery Dewalt has always been great. I just hope this new model is just as good.

The new model is awesome. One battery running all day with no need to plug in an adapter beats two batteries running for less than an hour and having to switch over. Newer model runs smoother than the older one and dust collection with an extractor or shop vac is best of any miter saw I have ever used

I got this saw about a month ago and built a whole entertainment center and still have a bar of battery left! Excellent saw

I got a 7 1/4 cordless i still have the wired 12. My issue with the 7 1/4 is it bogs down on thick materials, have had the blade bind up on pressure treated a few times. Do you run into this issue with this bigger saw?

Which stand are you using for the saw in this video? Looks like a nice setup for cutting longer boards.

Aaand what happened to the old saw? Did the saw wear out? I have miter saws that are 20 years old and still work. I had the DeWalt Flexvolt original with the two batteries, and it shorted out. After researching, ALOT of them shorted out, so much so that they were discontinued. The new saw is a poor replacement. Yes, the technology is improved (the regenerative battery tech) but they could have put that on the old saw system - IF they fixed the old motor. The new single battery model feels cheap, has less power, and changing blades is funky. You don’t have to rotate the safety shroud like the original, but there is this little weird lever that gets in the way of the wrench, requiring three hands to change the blade. No thanks, and can I get a replacement motor for my old saw for under 400 bucks? Nope!

DeWalt did not equip this unit with a 120VAC plug-in feature like the PREVIOUS DHS790. They are GREEDY & want to force customers to buy more batteries. I'll skip this model. They could at least make a 120V AC to 60v FlexVolt battery adapter! Oh yeah, that would cost them battery sales. Perhaps I'll design, build & market one...
