That select screen needs a huge rework, but when the match starts the gameplay really shines.

Hopefully they DONT keep the transformations separate from the main/base character icons. Would rather them go back to tenkaichi 3 than xenoverse where transformations actually count as separate characters

In the tenkaichi series ( especially tenkaichi 2) there was a feature, where the more ki the characters had charged, the more visible their aura effect around body was.. but I dont see that here :(

I was more of a fan having Goku as one character like in Raging Blast instead of splitting it into his phases. They could gave him customizable movesets for his supers.

Am I the only one who thinks this kind of looks like a mix of Tenkaichi 3 and Battle of Z? The character movements remind me of Battle of Z almost, but better.

Personally I think the character select screen is too basic. I like the concept where the characters fly in on a already loaded stage but make the UI a little bit flashier. Give the characters the Iconic poses and/or cool aura. Add a stage music selection too and the it'll be golden.

I still don't agree with each form taking up a character slot. There's already 11 Goku’s and 13 Vegeta’s, so almost 30 character slots are wasted on 2 characters. Not to mention there are still many more Goku’s and Vegeta’s to come, such as OG DB, DBGT, and possibly even movie versions as well. Before anyone says "that's how BT3 did it", no it's not. In BT3 each transformation was consolidated within 1 character, and if you selected that character, additional slots would pop up displaying transformations, and people chose to count transformations separately. Sparking! Zero is cheating us. When you really think about it, we're getting less characters than BT3, because over the last 2 decades goku and vegeta have doubled the amount of transtormations they've unlocked, so you're automatically counting multiple "NEW" versions of the same character, leaving less room for ACTUAL unique characters. If you look at Frieza’s character slots, you can see just how ridiculous giving transformations their own slots are. He chose final form Frieza, but the game automatically blacked out both final form and golden Frieza, so when it’s all said and done, on the character select screen it appears as if he chose 4 characters, even though he chose 3 characters, so it could look confusing to players.
