Nowadays German cars seem so sad comparing to this beauty, i'do go for a DS for sure, beautiful car !

French nailed it in luxurious interior. The rear of the car looks stunning. Its so beautiful

You don't get half of the tech and material quality, even on X3 or Q3. Also the "legend" of blasting on autobahn... most Germans tend to drive efficiently there, around 140km, and for that, DS does a fine job. 90% of drivers don't need those huge motors for most of the time. I drove through all Germany with 225hp Peugeot 508, and it was superb and very efficient motor. Never felt needing for more, be those mountains or autobahn. I own DS7, and can 100% say, it's much better than most German rivals in the same, and even higher price segment.

A serious alternative to the Germans. I'd choose this over the VW Golf

I think DS 4's most directly rival is the Lexus UX.

I’m a massive fan of the DS cars and am hoping to purchase the DS4 hybrid sometime this year. The Citroen/ DS Marque has moved light years ahead of its poor past, fair play to them.👍 An excellent review as well, thank you so much🙏🙏

I have a DS7 in China where she is manufactured. She's very beautiful and runs perfectly. I'm not a car racer or technical maniac. I bought her just for her unique French elegance. Am I the only one who hate the boring Geramn desigh and confused by the painfully absurd Japanese design?

I have the last model ds4 and everything is more or less original on it, its done 95k and its all original suspension components, clutch, gearbox, ball joints, bar the brakes and tyres and timing belt at 88k iv had no issues whatsoever with it service every 6k did have a issue with the dpf during lockdown but put some dpf cleaning foam direct onto the dpf not had a problem since. The quality is far better than alot of previous French cars in the category.

Very very nice car

Looks great, drives great, seats are very comfortable - they're like armchairs and very supportive. My only negatives are that the back doors only open a little bit, cheapest leather material used for interior dashboards to get easy scratch and also the rear seat space is a bit tight, not ideal for kids or and car seats. It doesn't hold its resale value very well, but apart from that it's a great car.

I think that any of the German manufacturers seem to have lost the plot regarding design and seem to have fallen into the trap that Austin/Morris/British Leyland/Rover did all those years ago where they stagnated for a few years with old designs and not paying attention to what the opposition was doing!

Fact...the DS4 is prouduced by Opel in Rüsselsheim/Germany

They kicked off with metallic paint at 27k sterling£ April may 22 , I just looked last week .They now start at over 33 k 5 to 6 thousand more , they didn't say at showroom launching the way this is a special introductory price for a limited time . 20% more 16 months later lol. ?????????

easily the best at moment, of couse french can make everything about luxury things.

Most of Europe are German car obsessed, the UK especially. It’s a nice alternative to a German car but because it’s French means it will sell in relatively low numbers.

I’m 5’10” and, with the front seat set up for me, I literally couldn’t fit in the rear seat behind the driver’s seat. I would hasten to add, I like to be near the steering wheel so would ideally have liked to have slid the driver’s seat about another 1/2”!

Finaly something a bit "different"... like a Lexus UX.

This looks way better than that DS7 fishbowl.

I had a ds3 crossback and the software on the Infotainment was horrid and dated...this while new looks the same and has the main issue I hated....the satnav does not cover the whole screen it's boxed in which is horrid

Good to see a properly integrated centre screen, instead of those 'tablets superglued to the dash' like in the C4, and almost every other car/SUV on the road! BUT, those DS grilles! SOOO fussy, and NOT attractive! This is as bad as the grille on the DS9!
