Ricky is a good singer just listen to something in your eyes from BBD, the man takes off on that song in ways I never thought. He delivers HARD! HARD! I love Ralph more but I can't lie about Ricky's vocals. I can't.

Ironic that Rick sings higher than Ralph when Ralph was the highest voice when they started. Rick is underrated for sure. His vocals on BBD songs were spot on

I'm really glad that these dudes got the recognition and received the appreciation before they start to pass away. Sometimes we don't get the insight as to what a performing group has gone through to bring us the finished 'product' that we see. With the release of B.E.T.'S The New Edition Story we can appreciate N.E. even more now. Btw, what Johnny said to Ralph in the studio about who he was dating at the time. There WAS truth in it. But it wasn't the young woman that he was dating that was the culprit. Let's just say that when you are a young teen you do what you are told. Particularly when you are threatened w/ having your love (musical career) snatched away! If you listen closely to the scene Johnny never specifically says that it was because of her. There's a reason that it was scripted that way. Those of us who grew up around Eli St. N.E. Washington, D.C. KNOW the truth. Sad but it is what it is. Light or Dark, I LOVE our people!!!!!

Still today .its meaning a meaning .love will never be dimensish .love songs .why its love unlike rappers who rap a a bout violence killings shooting showing guns in their videos gang signs filthy womens and all..when you look around another dead black rapper .but that what they chose too sing and rap about using the n word a word that was giving too their black ancestors by the slave masters and the rappers use this word today .praise God for new edition and their wonderful music that the angels in heaven love listening too

stonedog23 Ya know, even though I hate to say it, vocally, this song does not necessarily NEED Bobby. He's just a background this whole song. BUT, aesthetically and sentiment-wise, he still WAS a part of recording this song, so I think this song will never look correct, performed without Bobby. Wish he was there. I hope his health problems weren't that bad and won't do it to him again in the future. He's always been my favorite. Drug Problems and Weight Gain or no.
