During Elon Musk’s new full interview at the 2024 Global Milken Conference this week, #TechnoKing #ElonMusk talked about a wide range of themes, from space travel and artificial intelligence (#AI), to birth rates, and more.
The Milken Institute think tank is holding its annual global conference in Santa Monica, California, this week, and #Musk was interviewed by the group’s Chairman, Michael Milken, on #Monday.
During the interview, Milken presented several of Musk’s past quotes as prompts, to which Musk could respond and sometimes expand on things he has discussed in the past.
Like many of his #interviews, the topics were somewhat wide-ranging, though they included many of the things he has been outspoken about in the past: his thoughts on humanity, #education, SpaceX and #Starlink, the need to make humans multi-planetary, aliens, merit-based economy, AI, birth rates, and still more.

I really enjoy Elon Musk's talking about everything he was talking about in this video. I just feel very comfortable with such a great soul! We have to find help because I was told to flee the country in 2018 with more than eight kids and five individuals with disabilities under my care I'm thinking what about the rest of you? Wouldn't we still need our money to flee the country? If I'm going to be arrested for leaving the state with the children what's going to happen when we leave the country?

I mean we can do both (if we become evolved enough and more open minded). We can honor this planet but also colonize other far away planets. Because as we all know. Earth will be destroyed by the sun or be inhabitable for humans before that. And as a survivalist species it is in our blood to go look for a place that is more sure and stable. And to be sure that even after death humans will still roam space. Because the conciousness we have is precious. We don't want to lose that. Ever.

What if the point was that AI would uncover these underlying inconsistencies in human morality and try to solve them by making them consistent? What if teaching the AI to lie looked like aligning it with inherently inconsistent human values? Typical response let's fix earth first. Sounds great but it's never happened in the history of mankind for a reason and it's very very highly unlikely to ever happen. The politicians who lead the citizens of our planet who actually have the control to make it happen will not let it happen then mankind is in a deep hole. Attempting to shift that issue to some successful capitalist is just a misdirection tactic and an admission of failure at the highest level of our world leaders.
