We install a dirt cheap small block in the junk yard rescue '70 nova and continue to make progress towards getting this machine back on the road!! Will this old small block chevy run?

I would love a grudge race! Although you might have an edge over my bone stock 300,000 mile 2 barrel motor (actual mileage unknown) lol

A 307 is a 327 crank in a 283 block I got 2 of them ! I don't know John, that paint job on that engine looks like it added a bunch of HP.😯😎👍

Seems appropriate, that on first crank, the Burnt Nova, Catches Fire. 🤣🤣🤣

Haha it does seem a bit ironic doesn’t it lol. Maybe it’s trying to tell us something.
Looking great Dan, moving ahead leaps and bounds! Love the trunk or treat display, well done!

Dan I been following you for awhile I wish I could show you that you have an amazing engine part. If you decide to make a bigger engine use a 307 crank in a 350 block using 327 pistons it makes a large journal 327 and man they do great I have built several for customers and friends . Keep on thrashing brother thanks for the video 👍
@hatchsrecreationalengineer19978 ай бұрын
Thanks for following! Ill have to consider this large journal 327 in the future…🤔
@Testasspeedshop99978 ай бұрын
nothing wrong with the 307 There cheap and nobody wants them. But there small block and better then a 305. Put some 601 305ho heads on a comp 268h dual plane 600 holley 373 or 410s and have fun cheap.

Does my heart good I had a 69 Nova.

Good stuff. Wrong video, but here goes anyway. Ordering a new rearend to swap out requires lots of info and measuring. Dana 60 is looking good from Strange. Needing to know the Yoke size, 1350? and distance to tailshaft for driveshaft and adapting parts for brakes and.... Your swap seemed easy, except driveshaft length difference.

Love.your videos. Love this car. I wish it had black steelies like your others. That is just me lol
@hatchsrecreationalengineer19978 ай бұрын
Trust me I’m a huge fan of the steelies but I’m currently out. I had these wheels laying around so they will work for the time being. I would ideally like a proper 70’s era wheel and tire on this thing rather then the jegs aluminum wheels so maybe in the future.
@zach95158 ай бұрын
Rear steelies and front skinny cragars are a favorite of.mine as well. Your car though. I understand your reasoning for the jegs. Don't get it right. Just Get it running. We dream too much lol

Another great video. Thanks again. Dont you have 3 Nova's?
@hatchsrecreationalengineer19978 ай бұрын
Yes I do have 3 (‘69,’70,’72. I’m planning to do a video soon giving a status/update on the projects and where they are at. The channel hasn’t seen my ‘69 in like over a year.
@tonywest81408 ай бұрын
That would be a great video. All 3 are bad little Nova's. All you need now is a 68 and 71 , lol. The five fecta .Keep it up buddy. @@hatchsrecreationalengineer1997

What happened to the first nova you bought out of the desert?…maybe you should sell it to me?!?!
@hatchsrecreationalengineer19978 ай бұрын
I’ve actually had a few people reach out about that car! It is still around! I have had it tucked away in storage while it waits for funds. It still runs and drives with the six cylinder and powerglide. Hasn’t changed a bit since the Holley motor life article. That car is the only one I would never part with it is my favorite for sure.

Are the nice bucket seat’s original
@hatchsrecreationalengineer19978 ай бұрын
The car is a factory bucket seat car. The seats however do not belong to this car. I had them in my inventory and they are 1968 Camaro deluxe bucket seats. They look and fit pretty damn good in there if I do say so myself.
