Unlike you I grew up in a Dodge dealership. My father was the Service Director from December of 1956 until his retirement in 2006. I grew up with the cars that you restoring now. God bless. I have lived here in Indy all my life. I got to see most of those hot rod Dodges ever since I can remember remember from my dad"s 61 max wedge 361 til he quit racing in 75. Alot more cars followed after that. Last car he raced was a rear engine HEMI (426 based) fuel dragster. It ran in NHRA C/ Dragster class because he De-stroked it to 394 C.I. because it put his car in a class that would kick the sh*t out of big block gm and ford cars. I really enjoy your channel and appreciate what you do to redirect the "dead" cars. I'm from Indy. Lived here most of my life other than Military. I would really talk to you personally. I have been MOPAR since birth. I'm 66. Lot of stories I can tell you of those days. My father drove the infamous 71 Challenger Indy 500 pace car in March and April home everyday til it went to IMS. But I think the "street " Challengers, all HEMI orange W/white interior and top convertibles. All event cars were 318 W/ A/C. The pace car that crashed was a 440 4 bbl, and he changed it to a six pack before it was available for sale to the public. He had about a year and a half to tune it before the mid- year introduction in 69. I have many stories to tell you. If I can find your number, may I call you and talk? My father's legacy was Chrysler ever since he was discharged from the NAVY in 1946.

I'm not bragging, have the proof. I have old MOPAR stories that my father told me. He rode w/ Carrol Shelby in a one of three Viper prototypes to pace the Indy 500. They(Carrol Shelby and my father) made a run to the Chrysler Transmission plant in Kokomo to get a "fresh" off the line automatic tranny for one of the wreckers for the track.

Mr. 4 Speed was Herb McCandless, he was on the Sox and Martin team, he actually ran a GTX that was branded Mr.4 Speed for a few years before the Sox years...

Don’t be hating on your friend because he proved it’s not a Sox and Martin race car = because it’s not
