We are back from our holiday and bring you new episodes! Arne is ready to show you some color work tricks and hacks! After this tutorial we hope you will have some insight into how to get even tension while knitting color work.

Arne you’re not “old” , it’s only a number! My mother is 100 and still knits and crochets. She has made so many circular baby shawls that she wore the pattern out. I have laminated one for her.

You know they say about a very good whiskey, it improves with age, so you see there are good reasons for getting older. Haha that’s why Arne’s English is doing so great that’s maturing with him.🧓🏻👍. Look forward to seeing you back very soon with sit and knit for a bit. By the way Carlos your both great and funny, both make us all laugh. So we love you both just as much haha But just in different ways. That’s what makes it all work so well. Enjoy the rest of your gardening I am sure it will all look so nice when we next see it. It's nice to see you two again. Arne's hair has definitely gotten the curl back now, and Carlos looks. styled perfectly as always. I do hope Arne is coping with his father's passing, you too, Carlos and family. Just remember that he had a lovely long life with you all. I'm very lucky that my father is still with us at 93. We lost my mother when I was 19, 40 years ago. Take care of each other and make sure to keep hugging each other.

I had this exact question today - Dec 13, 2023 as I noticed in the KAL stocking you were switching hands. I am a loose knitter which is usually not an issue because I am evenly and uniformly loose. I down-sized on the needles for the stocking and it still looks like I am making a small sleeping bag although I think it looks very nice. It's amazing how the same pattern and materials in different hands can be so unalike. Sending warm wishes and thanks from CHILLY Montréal!

I have been watching the Arctic Race of Norway. The race took the roads from Tromse to Just inside Finland then back to Norway. The scenery was beautiful as the race along the edges of fiords and through forests and lower edges of mountains it ended in Harstad. Many boats sailed along when possible. No wonder you look forward to touring your country by Boat and Beetle

Thank you for all the handy tips. At 64 years of age I have followed your fantastic instructions and taught myself to knit the Norwegian way - who says old dogs can't learn new tricks!! Your way of knitting is much less stress on the hands and I really love it. Thank you again

Arne and Carlos. thank you for giving us all something to look forward to. Thoughts to arne on the loss of his dad. I lost my dad 2 yrs ago at the age of 96 and think of him every day. My gram was born in st andst denmark and taught me how to knit at age 8. What a gift she gave me as I am 68. Enjoy your summer.!

I'm back into knitting. I've been doing it off and on for years but just really got the hang of visually telling a purl stitch from a knit one. What a game changer. Once I get confident fixing mistakes I'll be a knitting machine. 😊

You two are the best! I am really trying to refine my color work by practicing knitting some Newfoundland vamps from the Saltwater Knitting patterns. I am going to try your tips and see if sock #2 can look better than sock #1 (they are for me and will only be worn as bed sox, so they are just “school” work. Thank you for showing the mitten with the “bumpy” yarn…I always wondered why a row would show up “bumpy,” and now I know it’s because I was holding the yarn tighter than usual. Some knitters would say, don’t worry blocking evens everything out. I never believed that! Thank so much guys for the tension tips!
