Details about the Mercedes Benz 2023 EQE53 AMG for PetrolHeads:
It’s equipped with a 460 kW two permanently agitated synchronous motors (PSM) which produces 950 Nm of torque.
2023 EQE53 AMG 0-100 km/h (62mph) can be reached in 3.5 seconds!
The top speed VMAX is electronically limited to 240 km/h (149mph)

I like the AMG EQE53 especially the way it launches despite being a heavy car. To be honest I'm more interested in AMG's first dedicated EV as that will be much more of a performance car. The EQE53 is fast and i like the paint color of the car.

If you want a more agile sporty car go for the EQE because it weights 120kg less then the EQS AMG even though they both share the same performance. I would personally take the EQE53, it’s a perfect sized daily, fast and looks good! 💪🏼 Which one would you take?

I wonder how the EQS will depreciate? The government forces manufacturers to warranty the battery for 10 years, but I have to wonder how the rest of the car will hold up. Before the inflation kicked up, W222 S-classes were going for less than $40,000 used.

I think it will depreciate less than the old combustion AMGs, for two reasons: 1) More and more people will be switching to EV, creating that additional demand. 2) The depreciation on combustion AMGs is extreme because they need a lot of maintenance, and that doesn't get any cheaper with age. EVs require far less maintenance, so this will be less of an issue.

Higher end models in the range like the s class, Maybach s, EQS etc. I’m sure it will come down to more affordable products like the cla at some point in the future. That’s usually how things tend to go test and have all the coolest new features on the more expensive models and slowly move it downmarket
