Actually, I already had a theory in mind long before this video was made. In fact, before there was ever an announcement of Splatoon 3 I was already working on a fanmade project called Splatoon 3: Splatocalypse. This was when I didn't know if there was ever going to be a third game. But my theory was this: Before the wave hit, the Professor was working on a substance that would pass humanity's knowledge onto the next genetic life form. However, the substance didn't get finished in time, and so it was only a prototype, so all the information retained from the humans would just be battling and fashion. I also believed the time-capsule device used for Judd was also used for the Professor. After all, it would make sense that he would use the time capsule for himself. I also had the idea that the Professor was a time traveler, and he has had telepathic contact with Marie, since she is the only one the Professor really trusts out of the entire inkling race, due to her awareness of the future. These are just some of the ideas I had, since I wasn't sure if Splatoon 3 was ever going to happen. Nonetheless, it was refreshing to see this video. It made me reflect on ideas that haven't been thought about much since Splatoon 3's release. If anyone is curious about my plans for Splatoon 3: Splatocalypse, I may make a video detailing my ideas. I've had a bit of an idea for a while, which may sound a bit crazy, but time travel shenanigans. Before the events of the original splatoon, the timelines between the human and inkling worlds connected, so some stuff managed to seep through to each side, but no living being could pass through. This could be used to explain why the splatfests involv things that the inklings and octolings should have no point in knowing about, like Spongebob or Pokemon. I would also explain how the Research team are able to learn and explain new weapon and special types.

They could do a super human baby with the intelligence of a bunch of earths greatest historic scientist so the baby builds an army of cuddle bears and mech milk bottle destroyers to take back earth.

If Humans get added, they're going to likely be the minority, or maybe a playable character in some sort of open world spinoff maybe. Humans COULD be added, but it's not gonna be Humans fighting against Inklings & Octarians, but rather a number of Humans surviving all the way to the present day against the odds and likely befriending the cephalopods since they all have enough in common. I feel like the reason they added more gameplay mechanics to side order might be due to this.

Due to the technological marvels and horrors and advances made in the world wars 3, 4, 5 woukd resulted in space travel being taken up by space mining companies sending out space engineers and Space marines humans into other solar systems the space engineers would mine resources, and build new colonies and ships create more farms. While the space marines sent with the engineers protect them from rogue space pirates. and of course their are humans who turned to privacy looting and plundering follow the human space engineers and marine fleets starting the Golden Age of exploration, conquest, and privacy. Eventually. Contact woth earth is lost when World War 5 ended with nuking of the south pole of earth, this event cut and stranded hundreds ands thousands of human space engineers and marines and pirates from the cradle of humanity as ships and colonies raido communication from earth go silent and remain so for 12000 years. Entire human mining companies and colonies and pirate fleets would compete and wage wars on each other due to greed, and panic an event known to humans as the 12000 years of silence from earth, and civil wars among the soace engineers, marines and pirate factions. These space engineers and marines being far from earth and cut off would have zero knowledge of earth being flooded and build their colonies in bliss and fighting space pirates amd other human space colony factions. One day one or two of the major faction groups of space engineers and marines and pirates returns to earth, first reaching the moon where these space engineers and marines amd pirates would get a scenic view of a changed earth. The result is some of the warmongering space engineers, marines and pirates want to reclaim earth and restore rhe cradle of humanity to its rightful owners the human race believing that since the old earth governments are dead they can forge a new legacy and age on.the earth and seek to wage skirmish wars on the new inhabitants probing their populations for how effective in combat thy are while building up their troop strength and resources for a war to rerake earth for humanity and wipe out the inklings and octarians.
