The female part just helps us track our monthly cycles. Its pretty accurate to. For ovulation as well. Family planning a plus (if that's their plan) but it doesn't really affect the app or exercising experience.

How does it tell ovulation? That’s quite surprising if it tells that tbh because there are actual lab test which detect ovulation like 21-day progesterone levels. I don’t get how a watch will tell that

You can actually select in the app of you're wearing it on your dominant or not dominant hand and it takes into account those motions if you select "dominant"

@@alecm7924 It seems he's stating (erroneously) that the heart rate feature and step count features are inaccurate. I find this aspect of his review inaccurate... sometimes it takes a few seconds to update HR changes onto the watch fac... and, I never accumulate steps unless i'm, well, STEPPING. Versa is awesome!

I had the Fitbit Versa 1 and then I got an Apple Watch Series 5. I used it for a while but there was literally nothing my Apple watch did that my Fitbit Versa didn't do except an app for elevation. I recently sold the Apple watch and got a Fitbit Versa 2. I prefer the Fitbit Versa 2

I just got the Fitbit Versa 2 just for the time feature. It has been a pleasant surprise to me that I can get my text, Facebook messages, and emails without being tied to my computer. I am incomplete quad that cannot use my phone to check out my notifications on my own. Versa 2 has a 3-day battery charge when the display always on. I can recommend this watch without hesitation.

I picked up a versa 2 special edition and a active 1 to try since they ended up being similar price with boxing day sales. I ended up returning both of them. The step counter on the versa was 3k off by days end due to how much I drive for work. It ghosted most of those driving around. Given it has no GPS and basically relies on giving you health info like steps, heart rate etc that was a deal breaker for me. The battery however was excellent. I much preferred interacting with the active 1. The battery was worse than I imagined. 1.5 days battery life new was a deal breaker. The heartrate monitor was less accurate as I used both during two workouts at the gym. Seemed to read 10-20 BPM low which I confirmed on a piece of gym equipment which also reads heart rate. Ended up spending more and now I'm trying out a galaxy watch. Active 2s are sold out in the area, but so far this is looking more promising. Battery life looks like it'll be 3 days easily. The heart rate monitor reads the same as the active 1, but everything else is a step up over the active 1. As long as you are good with a bulkier/bigger design.

The inaccuracy with steps is the same with iwatch. If I’m knit or crochet and forget to take off my watch I can look forward to 2k steps while knitting. Lol

Wearing both Fitbit and Apple Watch, by the end of the day the Fitbit said I walked on average 2k-3k steps more which is very inaccurate.

They have other workouts/exercise modes available to choose from on your watch, but it has to be customized via the actual Fitbit app. Unfortunately, you only get to pick up to a certain number of presets

I had a charge 2 and finally upgraded to this. However, after a few days it just didn’t hit the spot for me and I returned it. I ended up wirh a charge 3 and totally dig it. To each their own, but I find the charge line to meet all my needs.

The quick menu will drop down after a brief moment. You don't have to swipe down a second time unless you've already dismissed it. You need to wear the tracker a finger width higher than you'd wear a typical watch for the best HR accuracy. My V2 always prompts me to begin tracking an exercise after a few minutes of running, but it isn't super consistent with regard to how many minutes.

Hmm... Good observation. I noticed inconsistencies in the exercise autotracking as well. I always just start the exercises myself and then everything works well... Not a big drawback really

Ine thing missed on this review - the pins that are used to change bands. I was really concerned putting the large from the box. The band was not going in and it kinds scuffed up the watch.

I have a Gear Fit 2 which has been great and I'm really wondering whether having a watch that simply replicates much of what a phone does is really worth it. Getting notifications is important imo but after that my preference is for the watch to do stuff that my phone just cannot. Controlling Alexa, making calls and controlling sound is just doing what a phone can do but worse. Smart Watches (which aren't really watches and should be rectangular) should start trying to extend their capabilities like Apple is doing with better heart monitoring (ideally being able to add blood pressure) and adding other body monitoring stuff.

Hi Elly, Sorry for not being more knowledgeable on the subject. Once I set up my profile, the female tracking feature was disabled. I assume you are saying that you manually input all the info. I wasn't sure if the watch could detect menstrual patterns from HR data (maybe someday if they add high accuracy body temp readings they could auto track based on that). Regardless, thanks for letting me know! I hope you enjoy your new watch!

Great video! I have the charge two and I was thinking of upgrading to versa two. My charge two isn’t very accurate with steps either. I tend to do 50 steps an hour while sitting in the cinema 😂 I am still thinking about this watch. I do prefer Fitbit than other brands though as I am used to the brand and app

I got this watch mostly for the Sleep function. Have worn it 7 days. The first 3 days the sleep function worked & I have Premium -- worked fine, Now it hasn't worked the last 4 nights, I've wiped the back, checked the settings. made sure it was syncing,. Moved it up on more arm, No changes -- still does not track my sleep. Can you help?

I haven't found an app that would do that, but the smart watches are not accurate enough to track irregular heart beat. It really requires a much more sensitive technology. I would love to be corrected though!

Is it really waterproof? I had the fitbit versa the original version and it was supposed to be waterproof up to 50 meters and it wasn't stopped working as soon as i went swimming. I was heartbroken because I loved it. Now I'm trying to decide if I should just replace the original Versa or go to Versa 2.

Thanks a lot. My sumsung galaxy watch 4 classic isn t accurate in sleep tracking and I want a good sleep tracker. I heared that fitbit watches are the best to achieve this. We have in tunisia only three models of fitbit: versa, varsa 2 and charge 3. which one of them would you advise me to buy for sleep trucking only. I will use my sumsung all daylong and the fitbit only for sleep but I have read that versa 2 becomes useless after a few months of owning it has many issues concerning sync and it gives up sleep tracking after a short period. Please advise me.

I have the Versa. My band broke in less than a year. I ordered a new one. I got one side in easy peasy (after watching a how-to video) but the other side I think the pin broke in the hole and that's why I can't get the new band in. I called Fitbit, and asked them about an upgrade option, and they said they don't have one. Wish I had stuck with Garmin. Loved them and they had an upgrade option available.

After seeing this vid , I got even more convinced in buying the Samsung Active 2..build in GPS, Spotify with playlist on the watch so no need to take your phone whilst running...i'm a android user so best option for me!

@@MikeOBrienMedia It is merely a delay in updating to current HR, sometimes it shows a few seconds difference, like if your pulse suddenly increases or decreases. it may take a moment to show the change on the clockface, but- all the input IS there. :)

Two days in with this watch and I already contacted support. Notifications keep failing and have to restart the phone to get it going again. Support chat said they are aware of the problem and will contact me when they have a solution. But reading up on this, and it has been an issue since 2018?? Don't know whether to keep it since I don't want to restart my phone 6 times a day. Other than that I really, really like this watch. I used 11% battery over a 24 hour period of normal use including overnight. Doing always on is not necessary IMO because the wrist gesture to view is instant with no lag at least for me.

Excellent review. Can you tell me if the Alexa is something that you turn on a speaker to start your request? Or is it going to listen in to all my conversations? And what If I am listening to the news? So as I would want it to be OFF for Alexa unless I specifically click a button to ask a question, I think I would prefer the FitBit Ionic as I certainly do not want Alexa listening into my life. Sometimes I like that I get ads that match my google searches, in my email program, but it becomes annoying when it happens more after I have bought something as I certainly do not need all those ads after the purchase......so I am getting to be really scared about the Alexa concept and have so far decided not to get any Alexa gizmo for the home as I would only want it to be ON when specifically turned on and be OFF for most of the time. I certainly can do my searches on my own on my main computer. But checking for the temperature or something else might occasionally be helpful, but only if it can be specifically turned on to make the request and turned off after. And does this require a data plan to activate or would my own networked attached account that I use for the Internet be enough because that cannot be used away from home, so I am really wary as I have found out it would cost me an extra $76 a month to get a phone and a data line and I certainly do not need that as I have a setup at home for my computers and do not want to pay twice just so Alexa can work. I do not use a cellphone as I use a very cheap land line service for my home phone.

Your Fitbit app has the accessories option on the same page where you access to the clock faces. How do you get that? I have version 68.9.15, this option is not on there.

Does it have an always on display during exercise? If you start weights exercise, will the screen stay turned on and show some stats like exercise duration / heart rate / calories. (Important: the stats are shown always, not only when you raise your arm and then the screen wakes up).

Yes, just before you start the exercise, you can go into exercise settings and choose “Display On” during exercise.

I’m just mad this doesn’t have GPS because I’m a runner and don’t really want to take my iPhone 11 pro max running with me. Shame with the Spotify too!

I'm with you, Ellis. I think that was a clear miss on their part. Longer battery is great but now that everyone has larger phones, we're looking for a way to run without our phones. Otherwise it turns into a run + bicep workout

I definitely like the aesthetic of this watch. The gold and blue go very well together and the other colors look fantastic too

I really like the apple watch 4-5 look much more, this looks so cheap to me. But of course, the apple watch is double the price.

@@Monkeyking112 Alot of people don't want the Apple watch because it's battery isn't worth a sh@# it's too expensive and its tracking is not as good as Fitbits e.g.sleep, ok, its has phone. But that costs extra, drains battery in 30mins, most don't need it.

Have tried to sync 2 versa 2 watches,the last one with help from fitbit...no help, had to return both.needless to say having to sync a fitbit watch is a pill.I want the versa 2 but not all the hassel and spent over 10 hrs trying to sync 2 watches

Okay, i just bought the Versa 2 on HSN for $150 today. I was undecided between Versa 2 and Samsung Active 2. I ended up going with the Versa b/c of the price. Hopefully, this is worth the upgrade from my Versa 1

Love my Versa 2 but noway I get 8 days on charge. 4-5 days are no problem.

Hi, just wanna ask why is counting a lot of calories? when I wake up already shows that burn around 500 calories. maybe it possible to check only how many you burn over day. thank you

Orneta Perkumaite my guess is it tracks all of your calories burnt from simply being alive and not just the calories from walking and working out.

I bought Fitbit Versa 1 last year. The battery used to last 3-4 days but this year it's become 1 day.

Hiroshit If it’s still within warranty, I’d suggest taking it in to be looked at. Before my Versa 1 died (unknown reason) my battery lasted 4.5 days.

It seems that it's better to just buy a regular fitness tracker or spend a little more to get the Watch Active 2, Fossil, or Apple Watch.

i am facing a lot of issues with Notification in my Fitbit versa 2.... almost every morning i have to uninstall the app and again pair it to get the notifications or else it shows "Notification is not working Phone restart is needed" which is pretty irrelevant and never works... Thinking of returning it :(
