It’s 6:00 PM summertime, the sky is bright and the sun is slowly setting but still lights up the sky with its yellow tints. At this time I’d imagine being out with friends skate boarding and laughing while enjoying being kids but no, I’m stuck inside what feels to be a cage, my own room. I really wish I had made more memories as a kid, I wish I had cherished being a kid instead of acting all grown and now I realize that I don’t want to grow up, my friends have matured and they’re doing their own things while I’m stuck here clutching onto the remains of my childhood which was taken from me. The lyrics “Nobody gives a shit abt my life ‘till I die” and “I have nightmares all the time so I stay up late” are so close to my heart- I have minor PTSD I think, because loud noises, similar moments, and settings tick me off- And I have nightmares abt the time, so I stay up until 7am on good nights or just don’t sleep for days on end- I finally told someone that I felt like dying so somebody would care abt me and only then did people come to my aid- of course, when I said I would never do it, because I’m scared, they all forgot about it after a week and only use that day now as a constant reminder of how I’m a bad, selfish kid.

Okay, TW, sensitive topics ahead. I used to have a friend who liked me, let's call her B. It was at the start of 6th grade, she kept hinting at it and I didn't notice. I didn't know she felt that way until she straight up told me. I said yes, because I used to think love was being close to someone and wanting to care for them. I now know it's so much more than that. We dated for a few months until I started to fall for another kid, let's call him R. I felt bad, and ended up breaking up with B. That was a bad idea. She made my life a living hell. First she blamed me for her cutting, and then she got everyone in my social life to hate me. I cried a lot. Then, Christmastime came around and we became sort of friends. She was dating this girl S now. Me and R fell out, and she was helping me get through that, since R had before neglected me. Then, this new kid came. He wasn't really new, though. Let's call him T, since he and B have the same initials lol. T hung out with B at first, then B caught feelings and wanted to date him. He declined, and she kinda kept quiet. He hung out with me more. (I'm Non-binary and les lol.) B got jealous and started to, again, make his and my life a living hell because she thought he said no because he liked me. He does not. I am into women. She knew this and still wrecked my life. She. Knew. This. She knew it would make me super stressed. And she still. Did. It. Guess who helped me? T did. T stood up for me. And we started to hang out even more. It was great, until B fake broke down at lunch and again, got everyone to hate me. I was screamed at. I was literally pushed into a corner and screamed at. People threw basketballs, kickballs, etc etc. I got a bloody nose because one ended up hitting me in the face. She got showered with love and care after that, while T went inside and told my teacher about this. (I freaking love my 6th grade teacher.) And I was an outcast. Of course, she forgave T immediately. But did I get an apology? No. I got a half-ass sorry excuse of a note saying I shouldn't have messed with her. But what did I do? Was that my fault? Yes, this was just recently. I'm still friends with her, but I've been doing calculations and I don't think I should still be friends with her. She made my life terrible and did nothing to fix the damage. Didn't even apologize. It's alright though. I think next year I'll start to stand up for myself instead of blaming stuff she did on myself. Thanks for reading this far, stranger. :)
