We had floors replaced in an apartment... The flooring guys opened the apartment door, and next thing you know we had an evacuation and the fire department in blocking traffic on a one way street in the downtown core of Halifax Nova Scotia... All because of the dust

I definitely know the mess sanding concrete makes! My husband had to take up a section of our laminate floors and cut out a 2 ft wide section of the concrete floor all the way down the hallway and all the way thru the dining room because we had a BAD plumbing issue! Our house was built in the 60s and they used cast iron pipes in those days. Ours had totally rusted and clogged so bad that there was only about a finger width section for the water to flow thru. He put plastic sheeting up all around but it still seeps thru! We even had everything covered but it made little difference. I feel for you having to do that!

So I’ve actually done OODLES of concrete grinding. To keep the dust down have a constant spray of water and another perosn shop vacuuming that up. I below a friend do the flooring in his airplane hanger. He had a HUGE floor grinder and I would follow behind with the shop vac sucking up all the water .

Love your videos. I just want to say how shocked I was to hear none of your neighbours came to check on you when your alarm was going off. Maybe I’m naive but where I live in the UK I and my neighbours have always checked out random alarms from neighbouring homes. Even if only to get the annoying sound to stop 😂.

I never knew you could put wood flooring over tile I thought you had to pick the tile up first then prep the floor and then lay the wooden flooring you learn something new
