Great review Matt. FMS is stepping up thier game lately! The Mashigan was the first truck of theirs to grab my attention, but this FJ is on another level. It might end up being my first FMS purchase.

I just got mine yesterday, went with the yellow one. Just had to have it. What a beautiful rig for a low price. I have to agree with you on the size , a lot of people saying it’s way too big, the first thing I did was compare to my trx4 high trail and it’s almost dead even. No other company gives you a nice case for transport either !!!!

They have a really nice k5 1/10 releasing soon! It’s the best 1/10 from fms yet without a doubt. Great electronics etc. Definitely worth checking out! I’ll have a video up on it as soon as they give me the go ahead lol

What a great truck for this price point. At 350.00 we have plenty of money left over for the modification's. With the other companies you still have to modify there trucks and your spending 500-600 bucks. Plus the big companies use Lexan which is not as nice as this body. FMS I'm a fan🙏✝️☮️🏜️

So, I did the conversions of all the measurements and rounded them off slightly. The wheelbase is 1/6.74 scale, the length is 1/6.78 scale, and the width is 1/6.22 scale. I get the why they market it as a "1/10 scale" to give it a roundabout size, but it's way too big to run it with a lot of 1/10 scale rigs in comparison to them. My RedCat Gen8 is also marketed as a 1/10 scale but it's actually 1/7.84 scale and it's enormous next to many 1/10 scale rigs. I can't even imagine how this awesome rig would look next to a true 1/10 scale rig. The moral of the story is that I want one so badly! 😂😂😂😂😂 Sweet rig and great video Matt! 🤜

What a nice video and explanations👏you can stand by fms ss you like, I think they are changing the rc-world. Price, quality, scale and fun are really fantastic. I also love other brands like traxxas or Axial, but thats not a comparison, I think.

Man that thing is so nice I'm thinking about breaking the budget again lol , I mean I don't need it but fms F'ing nailed it again! You guys got it easy! Do you have any idea of how long it takes to hand customize something into something that scale? (Yeah? well all us old guys had to hand make it from bits n bobs and trash) 👍 fms . btw, COMPANIES go by wheelbase for scale sizes to have a standard. TAMIYA used to be that standard. It's like the 1/24 hobbyplus jeep(2dr) next to the 1/18 hobbyplus convoy look scale to each other, it looks like a farm truck on 44s next to mostly stock jeep 2dr.

What shocks would you suggest to upgrade and eliminate the rear rubbing? Please post a link to check it out. And is this what you are talking about HOBBYWING Quicrun Fusion SE 540 Spec (Fusion SE 1200KV) to help it drive smoothly up and down…? Thanks for the review!

How well has FMS waterproofed the receiver? Is it truly water proofed and can be below the water?

I mean they can't make 40 friggin 1/10th scale chassis to make every truck perfectly scale. They do their best to scale up or down the bodies to make it look correct on the chassis they have. That makes perfect economic sense and is really a plus for us too because we can mix and match parts. Imagine if every 10th scale had a custom scale chassis, motor, servos, etc. It would cost a fortune to upgrade and repair.

Yep! I agree. I see so many people cry about it not being true to scale but as long as it’s similar to my other 1/10s or whatever they say it is that’s all I care about. Plus like you said using the same base keeps the price down. If they completely redesigned the truck for this body it would cost more in the $550 range probably. Now when you get something like the 1/18 Capra that is nowhere near the size of any other 1/18 that’s what bugs me. Then it’s clearly not 1/18 imo

Just because the 1:1 Jimny is so small that a 1/6 version of it basically equals a 1:10 Rc

Yeah it’s really hard any of them but sometimes it’s a lot of fun! It was free weight in my wheels also. I’m still dumping water out of them 😆

Don't mind rust, at least a little. I got an older Comanche hardbody and it is squeaking, when I drive it - I like that a lot. Adds a touch of scale to it. 😊

I have them on my cayman. I have the injora knock offs on my gatekeeper and full size bronco. They work well here and for 25 bucks ya get tires and beadlock rims lol
