@@JohnnyZenith like a range rover? Put that next to a full size truck or a full size suv it will look tiny. I lived in UK pretty much all my life then recently moved to USA, I know the difference. Driving a mid size car in UK on some roads and driving a 26 feet truck feels the same. Ofcourse it will be do-able will ahve to avoid a lot of roads. Just not very practical.

Forgive me for saying so (because yes LR was THE vehicle that got me interested in offroading but ...) the Ford Bronco is SUPERIOR in so many more ways: - 35"s - floor drain plugs - dash tacti-rail - hood treelimb deflectors / corner spotters / usable tiedowns Also ... you're kinda suggesting that removing the doors us tedious like in the Jeap ... on the Bronco it's a SINGLE tool-free hingebolt. Excellent video, keep up the good work ... ... PS, we make fun of your accents a lot too; it's all good!

The only issue I have with the LR is the giant price tag and the boatload of issues (as reliable as my ex). I would say Bronco wins (but that will be determined later).

@@ii_dynasty Hummer is out of production,the C8 is one of the cheapest supercars for the money and GM owns alot of brands and has the money to develop a Offroader that will sell but they don't have a damn clue,everybody is doing it.. The Defender is selling,the Wrangler,G Wagon,Everybpdy is Going Crazy About the Suzuki Jimmny Bronco is going to sell well and the Blazer would have too but Chevy thinks that yet another Crossover is the way to go,they are Clueless...If they made something even Simmilar to a Suzuki Jimny i bet it would sell like crazy..My friend was wanting to buy a Jimny and i was trying to find him one and Every Dealer i asked said they Didn't have one becuse the moment they get one they sell it Imidietly.Small or Big Rugged Offroaders that are Daily Drivable are Selling Like crazy...Chevy Could have revived the Balzer just like Ford did the Bronco and compeat with it but they brought it back as a Stupid Mid size Crossover incase they didn't have Enough already (the Traverse)...They are just Clueless and whoever is Running GM rightnow is a Colosal Idiot,I mean it...

@@westistanbul it's not just about emissions, it's about the pedestrian crash safety. The front end of that Bronco will never meet the European Union regulations.

I believe in this case the main obstacle is difference in regulations between the US and European countries. Europe has more stringent regulations in some areas but more lenient ones in others. Once they meet US demand they will likely make one that follows EU rules.

@@westistanbul yeah individuals can get an IVA and go through months of hassle with the DVSA for type approvals etc AND pay twice the value of the car to get it over to the UK. They allow that because it's low numbers therefore low risk to the public. But you'll be paying twice the value of the car again on insurance to drive it on the road. Good luck to you. 😂

It's too big for Australian city roads. Even though its intended as a full on off roader they will only make profit if the general public buys it for everyday use too. Check out doug demuro's review of it to appreciate the size of the thing its huge, nothing to even compare in Europe.

@Anthony MM All the US car makers had to go through a total reset of their business, basically reinventing themselves. The virus came at a bad time but I would not be surprised if Australia is pretty high on the list. I guess we will see.

Bronco looks better and can be equipped with axle lockers front and rear. Solid rear axle better for off roading. Better suspension articulation and better tires. BRONCO WINS OFF-ROAD ALL DAY!!

The English guy that designed it said that the Bronco was made specifically for the American market. If they had incorporated the EU regulations it would have compromised the design.

LR has lost the plot... everyone of their cars now looks like Posh Spice’s handbag!!! WTF?? I owned a RR 2004 L322 albeit now 16 years old I’d buy that again over the new one. Owned a Disco 4 2014 square shape, used it for 2 years and sold it for AUS$2000 more than I’d bought it for coz majority are rejecting the $120k entry price for the new one.

@@armenassatoury2280 my dad has a 2020 disco sport and it's a lovely car really comfortable and it looks great but it doesn't give off land rover vibes it's not as rough and rugged as it should be, it's a lovely lovely car but it's not traditional

Listen, having independent suspension doesn't mean that this thing's offroad capabilities are the same as a Honda CR-V. This thing is way more capable than the old Defender. Although I agree that styling just looks a little too futuristic.

Great vid....I never thought a Bronco was in the same league as a Defender, but this vid makes it seem it is! Well done! I'd be interested in seeing you review a Lexus RX 450h. I own a 2011 RX 450h and absolutely love it! It gets me where I need to go and saves me some gas money. Hopefully, you'll be able to review it sometime soon.

Ive recently test driven a Defender, and absolutely loved it! looks great inside and out, really comfortable and surprisingly rapid. But with that said, I still think the new Defender is what the Disco 5 should of been. And the new Defender should have been more like the Bronco.

Absolutely I agree with you! It's almost like they went reverse the old Bronco wasn't that great in my opinion compare to this one but the old Defender was awesome compared to the new one. The Bronco comes with lockers and even with the independent front suspension has really crazy front articulation and solid axle in the back. I drive a disco Series 2 pretty fixed up but I have to admit even though there's no disco's around here in the USA hardly and jeeps everywhere. The rock crawling type Trails we go on you can't deny a Jeep Rubicon totally Factory is just ridiculously capable. I think the Bronco is cool with the big tire capabilities from the factory. And this is just a regular full size Bronco Raptor Bronco it's not just engine it's actually much wider and even more heavy duty. Look up videos of the Raptor Bronco is absolutely stunning what it can do whether it's driving fast over huge bumps and not caring or slow rock crawling

@@ronaldrrootiii6040 Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing your Disco is a V8? Ive only driven the TD5, I bet yours is more fun to drive! LR should also offer bigger wheel and tyre(UK spelling) factory fit options. The Ineos Grenadier also proves there is still a market for a more traditional type off roader, the new defender could of been.

@@shepchester3567 yeah mine is a V8. Definitely fun down in the desert here. Yeah definitely the Grenadier does prove that and it's pretty sad they even had to. Companies have a problem sometimes with constantly making more luxury instead of function. I mean look at all these videos of people off-roading still in buying brand new Wrangler rubicon's and full-size Broncos. I really wish Mercedes would make a cheaper G wagon because it really is like a Jeep built at Mercedes standards and sold at their prices haha

I guess it is easier to call it "crawler gear" than try to explain to people to only use 1st gear when you want to drive real slow, otherwise start with 2nd gear.

With these two, it’s a tossup in terms of quality, reliability, off-road capability, technology, size/space, features, cool factor etc. The only real difference is price. So basically all things considered, I think the Bronco is the champion.

Both are lovely. Both are Iconic. Both have done a superb job of the Retro Modern design. It is very hard to choose between these. Ideally if once were rich, one would have one of each!
