The previous and current BT50's were based on the ford ranger. To the point of having the same engine and body, just with different front and back ends.

Lol i know, looks kinda girly. They say same about Avalanche. Just, you have to understand, everybody likes different looks and not everybody needs full ton flat bed pickup to hall something everyday. I wish my half ton pickup would not be modular body, because i feel vibration on every larger bump , so on my bosses F150, or Silverado i use for service. Thats where Avalanche leads, or SUV, having much better comfort ride since their body strengthens frame being all solid.

The engine is so big, I would have expected better output from this engine. Look at Amarok only 2.0L and almost as strong as this beast....

The real Ranger died when ford closed the Minnesota factory, sorry to say. Different safety standards for vehicles sold overseas :o/
