Now, keeping in mind what you read at about 26:10, consider this.... The DC/Marvel crossover is canon in both universes...during that, Darkseid actually -met- Thanos, calling him a 'pale imitation of me'(he actually is, as Thanos came about after Darkseid did in terms of what year they premiered).... That can only mean that, knowing Darkseid can create avatars, that he made one, visited this particular universe, and met this particular Thanos, ALREADY KNOWING the Gauntlet couldn't kill him...the outcome of the battle was determined before it ever started....

Yeah, they weren't kidding about that Santa Claus thing. There's this short comic out there that depicted Santa showing up on Apokolips and bypassing all its defenses to give Darkseid his "present" in person, and then escaping to do it again next year. Doesn't make sense, but that's what makes it funny. :)

@@zackrose6261 Considering most depictions of Santa in fiction is known for delivering presents around the world in one night, some depictions state he has time and space abilities. (Which would make sense cause HTF can you deliver so many presents to over 7 billion people in one night?)

When I saw this, I couldn't make heads or tails on who would win until the end. It was THAT complex.

It all comes down to what we know. Thanos was able to resist the Anti-Life Equation thanks to the Gauntlet, Both the Gauntlet and Omega Effect were even in terms of D.C., and Darkseid can't really be killed through normal means. Against his Avatars, Thanos can easily end the fight with the Snap, but the problem is Darkseid has no finite number of Avatars he can make. Darkseid can end the fight whenever he wanted, but most likely chooses to bid his time to make his foes think they have a chance. Darkseid is a stronger character in terms of what he has on the plate, but Thanos has more depth in terms of his origin and what drives him to be who he is. The outcome doesn't really bother me. I wanted to see heads explode. Even the first part had me laughing! DP having a casual talk with a power obsessed god is HILARIOUS. Even Darkseid was patient that he was just blabbering about Thanos' throne! Wish they had a segment together, that would be funny!

@@ThermalsniperN7 But what peeves me is that they mention (not verbally) about the Cosmic Cube in the list, but never even actually talk about it or even use it. And from what i heard the Cube is superior to the Gauntlet. They downplayed his durability by a lot. And even missed out on his other feats. Even then, the outcome is the same. It would be just a closer fight, if they did research right.

Seeing as how you're from Sonic's world, Frost (or...your OC is, rather.) Do you think the Chaos Emeralds would be powerful enough to defeat either Thanos OR Darkseid

(Archie) Comic Chaos Emeralds let Sonic reboot/destroy the multiverse alone, basically making it look like DC after final chrisis (aka the multiverse isn't infinite anymore) and unlike the games, neither has a time/ring limit and gives you something much closer to true invincibility. Anything considered a chaos god in the archieverse is at least multi-universal in terms of destructive powers. In the games, Sonic would be immune to infinity gauntlet reality warping (chaos is fourth dimensional, so its safe to assume the protective powers would protect Sonic from an infinity gauntlet) but once he powers down the fight is over.

Also in terms of pure strength, game sonic could give a Darkseid avatar a hard time but his max observed speed is light speed +. In archieverse, Sonic survived a blast which almost instantly slapped him halfway across the universe and onto an alien planet and stood up after the impact like it was nothing. And Super Sonic is much more durable. A Darkseid avatar would be defeated, but I don't know the limits and powers of True Darkseid so from there I'll have to declare stalemate.

About Doomsday defeating an avatar of Darkseid easily. DC have a unspoken rule that Superman is the "ultimate hero", which as consequence make writters promote any character related to him, even villains as Doomsday. As you see in their analysis, even the avatar of Darkseid have great power, both in scale and variety, but most these for some reason are not used when close to Superman, or Doomsday in this case. The writter of that issue, either was fanboy of Superman or don't know much about the New Gods, most of people don't know to be fair. The power of transmute matter of Omega Effect could have nullify completaly the adaptative powers of Doomsday.
