Turning the huge fireplace in the kids playroom into a reading corner would be SO CUTE! Fill it with cushions and lights etc and it will be so cosy! House looks lovely xx

I think you should leave the big brick fireplace in the boys playroom. It's so beautiful and gives the house so much character. I would consider this room as the adult space xx

Beautiful home, seriously. But DON'T REMOVE THE BRICK FIREPLACE IN THE TOY ROOM! It is so gorgeous! I love it. I mean...I trust your design style because your last home was beautiful, but I am seriously in love with the fireplace. That was the first thing I said when you walked into the room. :)

Hi. I wouldn't get rid of that beautiful fire place (with brick around it) i would switch living room with future play room. The fire place in the current living room is so out dated...but the fire place ( where you are planning to have play room) has got a lot of character....dont forget rhis is not a new build 😍😍😍😍 i would keep it

I'm all for taking out the fireplace in the playroom! I don't think people are realising how massive it is! It really sticks right into the room. I do love the brick work and beam but it's not like it's a genuine historical one lol. And you have some other lovely fireplaces you're keeping 😊 With that fireplace it kind of forces the room to be one giant space as the fireplace is so central. If you took it out you could far more easily turn the huge room into two smaller zones, like a pool table and games space at one end and a sofa/tv chill area at the other. Well done on working so hard for this house! So excited to see the renovations!! 😁

haha same here. I am a Chinese and a new subscriber here so I had no clue that Emily is in UK. So when I saw the cupboard and fireplace I said “wow, it looks so much like the one in Harry Potter. And then I noticed Emily’s British accent which makes sense. I live in Canada and the houses layout and style are so much different than in UK! I’ve never seen such a big fireplace in my life and all I want is to throw some floo powder into it. LMAO

Front living room: instead of putting in a sofa. Make a sofa/ bed in the window nook. Playroom : remove fireplace:) lovely house :)

When you renovate the bathrooms get cupboards with an outlet inside so you charge toothbrushes in there. I got one in my bathroom, gone are the days of charging toothbrushes on the floor!

I’m sad to hear the conservatory won’t be staying. It’s so beautiful, especially from the outside. But I’m sure you’ll make it stunning as a kitchen. I agree it’ll be nice to be able to see the yard from the kitchen.

Tiled and filled with potted plants and a wooden dining table would be MAGIC in UK winters! Lovely light for cold and rainy days!!

@@pranikaworld6673 it is normally on the back of side of a house leading to the garden. It is mostly windows and a glass roof with a brick base. Some people call it a sun room.

I've never been so envious of a boys bedroom 🤣 Frasers room and ensuite is beautiful... love the bay window. The plan for a Jack & Jill en suite is amazing 🥰 Jacksons big boy space is perfect for him. I've never been so excited for a house tour video 🤣😍😍😍 can't wait to see the house turn into the Norris family home ❤

I can’t believe how far you’ve come since I first starting watching you before Jackson was born. Watching your videos has helped me through the really hard times I have been though and every single video u upload puts a massive smile on my face. I’m going to miss your old house so much but I’m glad that I can look back on your old videos to see it. It’s so lovely and has such potential. I love the cabinets in the kitchen but I do see how functionality is a problem. And I LOVE the conservatory- don’t get rid of it!

I’d convert it to the kitchen, but keep as much of the character of the original conservatory as possible, knocking down old buildings makes me sad.

I think taking out the fireplace in the boys play/game room is a brilliant idea, especially if you’re not gonna use it - the fireplace is HUGE and would use so much wood if you did use it. So taking it out would make sense and make the room so much bigger ! Ty for sharing ! So glad it’s all worked out ❤️

I can see why you moved. It makes so much sense to prepare for your 3 boys to be in a home they can grow up in with so much more space and the garden with the views! Wow they’ll be having their friends over with that space where they can hang out in. Can imagine it already

Lightwells are great we have one in out bathroom as when we renovated our house the bathroom is in the middle of the house with no window. Great to get natural light into a room. Love your new home. I'm sure there will be lots of great memories made here for you and your family. Xx

O my gosh I can't imagine redoing much of that kitchen! I think maybe in person it looks more rough than on camera! Those glass cabinets are so beautiful.

Love this house. Reminds me so much of us 3 years ago when we bought the house we currently live in. You will be shocked how much more cleaning and gardening you will do. If you don't have anyone to help once, twice a week there is no time for anything xx

You have such a beautiful new home! This made me a little tearful as it reminds me so much of the house we moved from 5 years ago, which I absolutely loved. We moved so our son could go to a better school which was totally worth it, but I miss our beautiful home every single day! I hope you'll all be so happy there! X

For the first room you could put a blind over the whole thing like just straight down so it doesn’t curve in and do it twice xx
