Love the idea of the shades + higher curtains. You could have functional shades but then have curtains that stay opened to the side so you can still use the bay window space 😊 The room looks gorgeous! 😍

That’s exactly what I thought as well!!! Have them go across straights and higher and open or keep open towards the side of the bed where the wall seems larger ☺️🙌🏼❤️

Totally agree about the curtains! Love the idea of having shades for the windows and putting curtains up to the ceiling. Maybe a ceiling track instead of a rod would look nice for your aesthetic. Very clean and wouldn’t be distracting. Anyway, the bed looks great and I’m excited to see it all come together!

Tara, I had the same thoughts about your curtains in the Master bedroom. I remember when you decided to do them the way they currently are and your explanation that you wanted a little seating area in front of it. However, I still think you should do the curtains higher to the ceiling and across the whole wall because it will give it a grander more elegant feel, which is the vibe that I think you envision for this room. The bed frame is beautiful and I think the curtains hung higher and across the wall will really match that aesthetic. Your home is beautiful and it has been fun watching you make the design choices and see it come to life. Your new California apartment turned out beautiful as well. I love decorating and design so it has been fun to watch! I am looking forward to your backyard project. I know it will be beautiful!

Motorized shades for the bedroom that work with a remote and can be set with a timer. They will fit in the depth of the window for a clean look 😀👍

Hi Tara, long time subscriber here! I just wanted to say I love how close you are to your family and friends. For someone who doesn't have such a close bond with their family it really warms my heart knowing there are people like you and your family who are extremely close. To be honest, I'm not trying to be rude in any shape or form but, i'm kinda glad that you didn't go to Coachella because I feel like a lot of influencers are so out of touch with reality and life in general. I love how you really connect with your viewers and not only treat us as friends but family. You're just always so transparent and I couldn't be more grateful to have such a remodel! p.s the bed looks amazing and super comfy and you're right the bed side tables do throw the bed off a little bit!

Yes! Blackout blinds on the windows and high curtains on the outside would be so much better!! The current curtain setup looks heavy in the bay window space. Love the new table!

The bedroom is looking really soft and cozy, love the new bed and console table! My only suggestion would be for some colour or more textures. You could tie in some orange peach or olive green tones to match the orange book and plant with some black or gold accents. Loved the vlog!

Your bedroom is looking so gorgeous!! 😍Shutters would suit these sort of windows perfectly! Generally on the pricier side but super versatile as you can open in sections for privacy, have fully open, or have fully closed. You could then do floor to ceiling sheers or a light-weight linen curtain for layering/softening and just have them open either side of the window so you can still use the space ✨

Definitely change the curtain situation, put a curtain rod straight across the top will look so much better. Then put some pull down blinds on the actual windows. 👍🏼 that way you can have your curtains open for the space if needed but still have privacy.

Hey girly! I design window treatments for a living and you’re spot on. Do a blackout roller or Roman in the bay windows and then decorative panels to elongate on the sides. Also for the nightstands not just taller but also wider. Look at large 3 drawer nightstands or small 3 drawer dressers. Bonus = storage! Anyway hope this helps!

I think that a shear panel on the bay with a higher straight across that can be opened easily to show the bay window space during the day and then pull the large drapes over at night.

Look into frosting your bedroom windows. You can get stuff off Amazon with great patterns. Ones that can let sunlight through that leaves light coming in look gorgeous. And then do the curtains from the ceilings on the side of the bay window and just have them held back and open all the time. No one can see in bc of the frosted glass. But you also get sunlight coming in and Justin looking gorgeous

I would def do the high curtains!! Even tho you said you wouldn't. Cause during the day you have your curtains open right? At night you don't need that space by the window cause you'll be sleeping, so you're really not losing any space when you would be using it. I just think it would be worth it!!
