AoS or 40K, The Gitz and the trolls specifically have some of the best looking models out there. When painted well, I think nothing looks quite as good!

Such an amazing looking table. Practical or not I don't care I love the look of a thematic table to play on! The bunker isnt too far. Maybe once I get my Slaves to Darkness finished I should challenge haha

Loved it guys! Seeing Matt get irritated with the statistical improbabilities was hilarious. Josh's dice reacted to the salt, just as he has said before.

I would really like to see the newer Battletomes played against armies that have new rules to be honest. It rarely seems to be much of a battle otherwise, though there are exceptions. Lovely armies though! :)

Yes. GW games arent so fun unless you have an updated rulebook. This game wouldn't have been much different if they had put the gitz against the ultramarines here. i doubt the outcome would have changed at all. This game was basically the same thing, one army is using a different ruleset as the other to its disadvantage. Its hard to have a hobby I can only do for 2 months after my rulebook is out and then 24 months of just being bad for no reason.

Great report my dudes, loving the table set up too I like it when the table is set up in unconventional ways! So would you say that the changes to fyreslayers is mostly subtle game design changes? Otherwise they feel like the same army as before

37:40 well 12 attacks hitting on 2+, wound on 3+, -2 rend, dam 2 and 3+ ward averages 3 damage. Not THAT big difference. 1dam more or less isn't huge swing.

I love most battles but the fireslayers have so many bonus and auras and so much damage per wound that this isn’t even a competition. Not an even match.

Boy some those Goblins are overconvuluted to the point where it's impossible to recognize half the modell. All those digital sculpts in AOS just look way too artificial. A far cry from the old Goblins of WHFB

I feel like you really need to overcome discussions about dice rolls and probabilities while playing. to me they come out as really salty and that is not very enjoyable for me, as a viewer. I am avoiding your reports for quite a while now because of that and gave it another try today because i was generally interested in the fyreslayers. it happened again several times though, so i could not watch it as a whole unfortunately.

agree. Dice rolls suck, but complaining about them throughout the batrep just comes across as really negative.

The Gitz never stood a chance - it was a bad list and the Troggoths were unprotected by screens. Gitz are in a bad spot for quite some time now, if Matthew had all the luck in the world it wouldn't have changed the outcome. Maybe if he'd taken Kragnos with more bodies perhaps. I know it's not a competitive channel, but you've gotta put some more effort into low tier armies list building to make games more enjoyable to watch imo.

It wasn't the best AoS example, and I suspect the reason Matt was focused on the dice rolls is to get us laughing at the bad luck. Could have been better if Matt won the roll-off, but I'm not sure what he could've done to save that game. What would you have done?

@@raygott5712 honestly, it was bad move to pick the Hearthguard Berzerkers as his target for the Battle Tactic. He shouldve gone for bring it down (or the same battle tactic) and try to take down the less tanky Magmadroth. He couldve positioned his troggoths in such a way that the hearthguard berzerkers would've wasted a round of combat and he could've kept his Mangler Squigs safe that way.

But you make a mistake, you're filming, maybe you just had a kid and are a little tired, and you're trying to entertain people? So after he rerolled a 6" into Snake eyes, I don't see Trolls having any agency. After that point, which was funny, the game was tipped.
