My Junpei is pumped up with every incense card I got first play through, almost max stats across the board, so he'll be fine 😂 And the other will catch up with those clock doors that spawn that level your party to your level, and even without that, the reaper dying once of twice will power them up a lot (more than a merciless playthrough even needs) The stat boosts carrying over is a great thing in persona games😊

I always like how in Persona 1, all your party members could swap personas. Restricting party members to an Arcana could help with balance.

Might be the music dlc, they often include extra music from older titles as dlc, either that or editing to fit the moment.

I'm not even playing NG+ and just started going back to the beginning of Tartarus to finish as much of the compendium as I can and boy are these battles a breeze.

Why do you need to go back down? You can fuse backwards sometimes and resummon from compendium and repeat that till it's all done. Near end game especially every coin card gives a whole lot and the discounts from filling in the book Elizabeth gives you Mainly the reason I start from lower personas on the compendium and work up, Interesting way I do in persona 3 4 5, I buy the lowest cheapest persona fill up my persona list and fuse them into whatever is new and repeat that for awhile, I spent 12 hours in my first tartarus trip so maybe I'm crazy 😂

You can do better. Bring a persona with all the auto-buffs, charge first turn. Have ally throw debilitate food on both ravens. Next turn, feel the dopamine in those numbers.

There should be scaling because that's mad. I played on merciless new game with very few issues. Hard mode in OG FES was way more brutal.

Why? it's new game plus, if you want a challenge just hit new game from scratch That's basically why you CANT new game plus to merciless, there'd be no challenge

Mostly everything except for party characters levels, but if you are planning to play merciless, nothing carries over just play data

I maxed out Yukaris stats so hearing the team go back to level one was disappointing. Thankfully they seem to retain the bonus stats you apply to them.

Seems like if you play on the hardest difficulty, the mc also goes back to level 1 or whatever in ng+.

Worst new game plus in the persona series btw. Merciless doesn't transfer anything over and enemies dont scale to the player's level. Not to mention you have to replay the "Tutorial" part of Tartarus without skipping which turns it into high-grade medical anesthesia.

Well I wouldn’t say the “worst” but it’s definitely unfortunate after completing a Merciless mode play through, you can’t transfer your stuff to another merciless mode, would have made more sense if they allowed that
