For Joe: Have a setting cheat sheet with you to ground yourself in the setting. Include recent innovations for the era, have a youtube link or 2 with music or some boardwalk empire clips (1920's).

I like how Noura dressed up for the game. You can tell she was a little freaked out when she thought they would be doing a different time period than the 1920's, but it shows dedication that she went all out.

Found this channel thanks to their game with Seth Skorkowsky and definitely think I'll be sticking around a while. Like Noura and Becca, I was initially outraged at Joe's casual dismissal of Call of Cthulhu, then realized that was only the start of his story. By the end, I was quite a fan. The pathos he conjured with his character and his dog is precisely on point and he need never worry that he "didn't get it" ever again. Joe's reaction at 2:21:38... priceless.

For those who have issues trying to figure out the world of Cthulhu and how they might interact with it, I highly recommend checking out "The Mythos Society Guide to New England" by Clint Staples. This book discusses what life and society was like in the 1910s-1930s New England area. It also describes esoteric history moments in the area that can inspire weird or horror themes in your campaign.

Is this book full of lists or written more like a story? I struggle to absorb any information from things like the timeline lists in the Keeper and Investigator handbooks, but if the information is presented in a less stilted way, I could probably retain it better.

The intersection of GCP, Call of Cthulu (blew my D&D mind when first played in early 80's), and mountain bike wheels (i9 hydra hubs?) has to be a relatively small cohort. This is pretty entertaining. My group recently tried this game. Somehow the same characters have made it through the starter set and an open world concept. Set in the 1920s We had Peter Venkman skeptic radio host played by the lovable Bill, A Klaus Hargreeves type, hughe Jackman doc with a love for guns, booze, and who's medical skills killed more patients then his allies thankfully, a superstitious red army "winter soldier type" and of course a spoof of the naked guns detective played by Lesley nealson at 4 ft 11, despite a 75 intelligence he plays like an idiot, has similiar one liners and unwitty comebacks, and has a modern attitude of how things should be (despite it being the 1920s) Pretty hilarious outcomes.

Surprisingly there are a lot of horses here in MA. Saugus has a very prestigious riding school right on the Lynn Fellsway kinda near Kelly's Roast Beef. Lots of them out in Western MA also. There's a couple big ranches near the Deerfield River where we go fly fishing. I would imagine in the 30s many people around here probably still road horses.
