It's finally happening - I'm getting proper lighting in the new garage! I'm experimenting with Cree lighting this time as I look for a solution for our garages. These Cree lights might not be the final answer, but I'm going to do the testing for the rest of you. I'm using the Cree KR downlights and the ZR Troffers. And yes, I've figured out that the surface mount boxes are huge & not reasonable.

I hope you all appreciate how much work goes into this channel and product research. I look around my garage and warehouse and everything cool in them is because of this channel. I could write a book about how awesome the Kranzle is.

Great point. Nobody seems to understand that most of these cheap Chinese knockoffs that they can buy on Amazon came from OG marketing the real stuff. Like nobody would have quick disconnected hoses guns and wands on the pressure washer if it weren’t for OG.

@@OGspecd You think I’m wrong? Ask yourself why MTM’s pressure washer guns have a swivel. Or why the cool thing to do with pressure washer wands is not have a bent one with a rubber guard. Not long ago those products didn’t even exist.

@@jrose7381 Most at Cree’s factory in Wisconsin. Although if they were to be manufactured in China, it wouldn’t matter. There’s a difference between the quality of an iPhone (manufactured in China) and a knockoff iPhone also manufactured in China.

DAMN!!! I read this comment before seeing it, and I thought maybe it was a large size wrench in one of the drawers. Those wrenches are bigger than the drawers!!

I've been putting off my garage lighting purchase for months waiting for OG to drop this video. But am having second thoughts with the size of those troffers. Hope there will be a more residential scaled solution coming soon.

If you're now talking commercial products, Dialux is free lighting design software and pretty easy to use. Its easier to get hold of commercial lighting photometric files. And the gaps between the refelctor fold in that cree fitting is horrible.

Amen, Cree makes some fantastic energy efficient bulbs. But they're products aren't designed to last long, and they overcharge their products. I always felt like Panasonic was more reasonable. I think Matt is gunna have alot of fun with shadows everywhere, spot lights are typically a bad fit for garages.

What are you taking about All commercial lighting is available to anybody. I am a master electrician and lighting engineer, all you have to do is go to your local supply house who works factory rep agency's. Remember light is a science and an art and please call them fixtures.

Why does Perry continue to insist on wearing long sleeves when he could have a short sleeve polo type thing in the Florida heat? I know he said it doesn't make any difference if you have short sleeves but I have trouble believing that. I live in Illinois and here we don't wear long sleeves in summer. Plus I have a lake house in Michigan and Michiganders don't wear long sleeves in summer. So that's two states I can attest to.

Summer in FL is quite different than summer in Illinois or Michigan.
