Even though we are very passionate about fishing sometimes we get burnt out to the point where we start question why or what's the point of even doing it. However, I have learnt 1 thing when it comes to why we go fishing. It's not about constantly and consistently catching fish all the time that's not the main reason why we go fishing. The reason why we keep fishing even after all the failures and the successes on the water are because it's about the pursuit, the chase, the hunt, the thrill, the challenge, the excitement, the fight, the struggle. That's why we keep on fishing time and time again even after failure or success on the waters. Also, enjoy the struggle of fishing because I have learnt that when you do catch fish after all the struggle and failures that fish you caught is so much more rewarding.

Such exciting news about your move to Richmond. My daughter lives there and we love visiting with her and her family. You are the fishing channel that turned me onto fishing a year and a half ago. I loved it so much I bought a Bass Tracker V16 sc two novembers ago. Perhaps I can bring it to Richmond sometime and we could fish. Also I live in Hillsborough, N.C. and I have been fishing Falls Lake, Jordan Lake and Sherson Harris where I know you caught a BIG fish a few years ago, I believe at the beginning of the fishing 50 states tour. You are always welcome to come to Hillsborough with my wife and I. We've got two extra bedrooms so bring Ace or Billy. Anyway thank you for turning me onto fishing. I have never loved anything so much in my life. I fought off stage 4 cancer twice in the last six years, but I got plenty of energy to fish those N.C. maps anytime you want to come.

I am from VA and used to fish the Chic lakeside. We went as far as we could up the lake and fished our way back down. Would catch pike and bass frequently, sometimes over 30 fish apiece between me and my grandpa. The best times were when there was some current, take the Johnboat and get in as far as you can, Good luck!

Just found your channel. I just got back into fishing after taking years off. Growing up on the coast of the northeast I did a lot of salt water fishing so you can say I'm a beginner. I live up in Harrisonburg and honestly don't know many spots yet. Learning baitcasters on my own and fishing from the bank keep me satisfied for now. It's always fun being out there this year should be fun.

You should travel just a bit farther south and fish the Roanoke River in Weldon NC. Shad season is just around the corner and the striper spawn will be coming in late April. Get out there then through late June and you can get some amazing fishing done. Great to see you back! Missed the content

Welcome back--stoked to hear you moved to RVA! I've lived (and fished) there my whole life. RVA is definitely a hidden fishing gem. The proper city has anything from monster blue/flathead catfish to toad LMBs and James River Smallmouth. Also a ton of cool seasonal runs of shad, stripers, and sturgeon (although, sturgeon are off limits...). Not to mention, RVA isn't too far from the Chesapeake Bay (Cobia, Drum, Rockfish, etc.). It's the place to be! Hmu if you ever want to link up and fish.

Good to see to ya back I'm glad I found your videos cuz you've been my go to for swimbait content recently I live out at anna and big glide baits and big swimbaits just ain't something you see every day which is why I've been getting into them cuz I seriously think itd be a game changer for this lake since everyone I've seen practically throws the same stuff itd definitely be something new for these fish to see.

*Great item. First cast out of the package caught a nice bass. Pulls smooth in the water and sets up nicely immediately upon retrieval. Worth adding to your tackle box.*

All of the lakes down in suffolk are awesome fisheries, briery, sandy river reservoir. The james river in the richmond area and the chick(river). So much big fish fishing in the Richmond area. The James and chick have numerous double digits coming out of them every year. Welcome to the area.

glad you are back buddy, I think we are all having a rough winter for sure. Definitely just picked up a reel handle for My Tranx 300 after watching this. I'm just getting into large Swimbait fishing this year, but at that price I couldn't pass it up. Its perfect for guys starting out instead of paying for a handle that cost as much as the whole set up. I wish there was a way I could have let them know I picked it up because of your video.

I live in florida and im here to attest first hand that fishing in florida is absolutely sick! Fish here never run out and there are so many different varieties of fish. One day you will hook into a nice size snook, next day youll go back to get another one, and you hook into a huge bonito. Its absolutely amazing here

Nice catch SB, glide baits are always fun and come in clutch during these cold months. Richmond has a ton of places to fish, sounds awesome that you get to hit up all of the waters around there. I live roughly an hour from that area. But those Gomexus handles are the shit, bought one about two month ago and they are straight fire. Glad to hear you are back.
