Here, Goku is unable to Transform into a Super Saiyan! And with him being in dire need of help, Bardock comes in! And we even have a new Special Cutscene dealing with Bardock & Goku VS Frieza!

Sean and Sonny really had a blast at this story.

At long last Bardock and Goku, father and son, fought together, and both surpass their limits to defeat Frieza without using Super Saiyan. However, I think they use partial power of Super Saiyan since their special arts gives them a golden aura. Also, it seems like the Tournament of Time started recently, before Shallot wakes up after Zahha erased his memories.

18:16 Now this is the heroic and noble Goku I'm still remembered on Namek. Even though it's an original scenario, I have to give props to writers that portrayed this Goku's characterization consistent with Frieza Saga.
