New GoPro Max 360 tested

4 жыл бұрынPut the new GoPro Max through it's paces. Trying out the 360 and hero mode as well as the new stabilisation. Only an early test (with more to come) but early signs are really good as this could easily replace the Hero 7 Black i use for outdoor sports filming.

Yeah .inspirational man. Love your review love the love you give the dogs👅! I haven’t got my one yet. Unbelievable stabilisation.looking forwards in all directions 😜 for its arrival. And I do hope as you said this camera has room for updates...

Max is amazing! Hardest part of using a 360 camera is not overdoing it with all the different possible perspectives when editing in post. Crazy when you start realizing that you can make hundreds of different videos all from the same one clip.

Be interested in seeing how the bike rig turns out, heading off to ride the Pyrenees TET next year and it’s between one of these or take a dip on the new Mavic Mini. This looks like I’d use it more

Hi Mark. Great video. Two questions: 1.) How do you transfer the videos from the GoPro to your iMac? Is that through cable? and does it take a long time? 2.) Is the GoPro player software easy to use for reframing/editing? How easy is it? Thanks!

Hi Mark, one question, when you use the Max in hero mode, do you need to do some postprocessing to stabilize the video? Thanks a lot

If you are going to just use one lens I believe you can utilize Hero Mode and in post use the over capture to look around. I have done that for a couple videos of my kid riding his bike. That would give you 60FPS @ 1440 so you could do some slow motion.

Awesome footage, Mark! I'm a little confused, the 360 footage isn't image stabilised, is it? It looks pretty bloody stable to me, though!

Can you edit with mainstream editing video or you can only do it with the Gopro app?

you have to admit, 13:00 does not look normal :-P I think this camera has alot of potensial, but how large are the files compared to the hero 7?

Gopro Hero 7 has maximum 78 Mb/s in 4K, Gopro Hero 8 has maximum 100Mbps (4K) and Gopro Max has 78Mbps (1440p). It's all very outdated and low bitrate which makes it harder to work on in post, but the file sizes are smaller and easier on the hardware.

I'm going to go test the camera, or is it a watch? hmm, Ok its the camera and we are going to test in these specific conditions, nope never mind, now in these conditions, no, again, we changed our mind, now here, oh wait, there is something else that's not right........3 minutes in and your still rambling AFTER 4 separate intros telling me your going to do something that you changed your mind about.....I give up, on to another video....
