GPT-4o is a major new advancement in large language models by OpenAI, OpenAI is making GPT-4o available through their ChatGPT platform, with free tiers offering limited usage. This makes this powerful tool accessible to a wider audience. I have always been a big fan of a voice conversation feature in ChatGPT but now it is on next level... so is this the end of Google Gemini as an AI assistant?

This is the old assistant the new one isnt rolled out yet, only the model is rolled out with limited functionality

@@NoLimitSquad This is the old voice model. You can tell when you have the new voice model by the UI. The camera icon for the "vision" feature should appear at the bottom when you activate voice.

I see that it's the old one, yes. But why did she do thr fake laugh at the timestamp I put up in my previous comment? I have the voice thing also but it's never done that for me

@@NoLimitSquad you used to hear her breath not so long ago . I think they just trained the voice on some simple human sounds. This voice makes text then passes to chatgpt. Then does text to speech on the output

I am pretty sure you were being provided the older version of ChatGPT due to a surge in demand or transitional difficulties. If you do not see the camera icon in your lower left screen…….you are not talking to 4o.

Thank you, I am a free user and I only have access to around 10 messages per day, after this quota I automatically switch to GPT 3.5 which does not have internet access.

Gemini is woke, censured, unreliable and completely terrible at coding, networking or any other advanced geek stuff. By far the worst of them all, only reason why someone would want to use it is because of its great writing skills. (English)

Gemini has not fully developed as assistant yet. But google has announced to integrate gemini as google assistant in next updates. Both going to fight head to head in next updates as they both announced pretty much similar features in their future updates.

After I subscribed to ChatGPT 4.o yesterday, it took a few hours for my Android app to recognize my subscription. While the app wasn't recognizing my subscription, I logged out a few times, and then a few hours after I logged in, it worked like the web version. However, I still don't know how this KZfaqr was able to use the app on Windows like this. The only ways I am aware of are the Android app and the web version, and even though these let you use the 4.o version, they still don't have the new functionality shown in this video.

My problem with OpenAI is that they are charging you to use it unless you want old and outdated data. That can lead to a lot of failures imho. Whereas Gemeni is updated quite frequently with it's free tier except with the advanced parts which you don't actually need except for specific cases like advanced coding. Also, it uses the word "Open" in it's name which make people think it is "open source" for some reason, when it isn't. Kind of scummy to do something like that tbh. I absolutely hate google and their ways but Gemini is just better.
