Girl, the brown suites you SO well. It looks so much better and more vibrant with your skintone. And dying it over the blonde kind of gave the appearance of having some highlights in it as well, instead of it being just one flat color. It turned our great! You are beautiful! :-)

all I can say is THANK YOU & I LOVE YOU FOR POSTING THIS! over the past year & a half I was blonde! (naturally dark brown almost black) but I wanted a change & I'm so happy I came across this video! My hair looked super similar to your blonde hair as well & wow am I glad I used the color you recommended as compared to the dark brown one I was considering. I didn't realize it was gonna be such a drastic change!! There's no way in hell the final color is "natural dark blonde" lol for me it def came out as a deep brown! 😯 but I'm very happy with my results! Thank you!!

Just got the random urge to dye my hair brown but I'm balling on a budget right now so I started looking up videos on KZfaq on how to go from Blonde to Brunette at home and this is by far the best video I've watched. Your color came out awesome! Hopefully Sally's isn't closed yet because I'm trying to get it done tonight before I chicken out lol. yeah if you're really cautious, you can make one tube cover the entire head (like you did) but I usually recommend getting two bottles/tubes if your hair is past your shoulders.

Color looks great! I just picked up a bottle of the demi permanent by ION, as well as the ION 10 volume developer. I've never used these before, so I'm looking forward to trying this out. Btw silly question, but it looks like from the manufacturer it states to measure in ounces. I typically am used to doing it by "ratio." Could I do it by ratio instead.?

As a hair dresser of too many years. You will need to continue to apply every few months, as it will fade and look dull. Depending on how often you shampoo your hair. Your virgin hair will begin to grows out. Reapplying will avoid that awful demarcation line. Use the same Demi color or darker, depending on your virgin hair!

a protein filler will help the color hold and not fade out so fast. It came out really nice

GOD LOVES ALL not sure if you'll get this comment, but do you think it's wise to use a permanent dye to blend a demarcation line? I'm trying to grow my hair out and I've only used demi over my bleached hair before

GOD LOVES ALL when I colour my hair professionally I find the hair colour fades super fast too The Demi permanent prevents the line of demarcation and that’s why I prefer it over permanent now

Hi! My hair was just as blonde as yours and I used a brown Demi permanent dye on it as well, I love it! just wanted to ask you what color was your hair after the dye washed off after a while? Was it a more darker blonde? Did it leave any orange tones? Or did it fade into the exact shade of blonde you previously had? Thank you!

+Andrea Renteria I honestly didn’t let it get back to my original shade since I still wanted it brown. It maybe got a little warmer as it faded but nothing crazy.

Ive dyed my hair so many different colors since grade 4 and I havent been back since I have picture day on the 30th of august for my senior pictures and ive decided to go back natural. I was scared too! I definitely always tell myself that it's just hair. it grows back and you can change the color of it no problem.

I've always been scared to do it but realized today while at Sally's that I can do Demi (temporary) which is exactly what she used so it'll wash out in 4-6 weeks (faster if you wash your hair more) so I'm going to do it right now and I'm so nervous!!! I'm 33 and I've never let my hair be it's natural root color (level 5-6) so excited. Big tip is no matter what color is do a test strand and always start at least 2 inches away from the roots because the roots are closest to your head so the heat from your scalp develops the color (and bleach) faster than the rest of your hair and you'll end up with uneven color

I had dark brown hair bleached it ended up with orange yellow hair. My steps to toning it down. I used Wella Demi permanent hair color in 10 Calmer the brassiness but so then I went in with the T14 and ash additive waaaa laaaa ! I’m at the color I wanted ash-sandy blond.

Probably 3-4 weeks before it started fading pretty bad but it was also summer so I was out in the sun. I just dyed it back and each time it lasted longer and longer

yes it stayed for a while but I needed to touch up in 4-6 weeks but I was in the sun a lot.

Heyy , I want to dye my hair brown as well ! But idk if I should go with a Demi or permanent? Has yours washed out ? AHH I'm nervous haha

I would say demi because it lasts a while and then you can decide if you really like it. Also you won't get the yucky line of regrowth. Mine hasn't really faded. If you watch the last video on my channel you can see the color after about 3 weeks of dying it.

I wish I saw your video before I dyed it. I was a level 6 so I got the 6N to tone it and it came out so dark! 😬 disappointed but it still looks decent. Definitely go a shade lighter with this brand.

How long did your color results last? If I use 2:1 ratio will the color fade sooner?

It lasted probably 4 weeks but I was in the sun a lottttt during this time so it faded faster. I don't believe it will necessarily fade faster, it will probably just not have as much color payoff from the beginning. If you don't have blonde hair then that will probably be fine.
