Im glad they are trying the wet tires, you cant learn it unless you try it. As for live pit stops during the wet, maybe there should be a way to set up two different rpms so that the pit road speed can be changed during the race. Cut the speeds to 25-30 mph.

for the wet pit road issue... just have a pit road speed, and a lower WET pit road speed. If pit road speed is 45, have the pit road speed be 25 or something if it is deemed wet.

This makes all the sense in the world. I listened to Denny's pod and he said short tracks are the only races that wet tires should be used because they are only do 90 in the corners. He stated that at tracks where corner speeds are 140 it's not possible. Well yes it is if you are forced to slow down or wreck? It's drivers and teams that only know how to do it one way and that's what will kill the sport eventually. You have to be able to adapt. Hell even f1 drivers aren't doing top speed In wet conditions.

The other issue is they don't have speedometers. They set speed by rpm in a gear. 25mph may be a target too low - it might be lugging the engine in 1st gear. Don't know, just speculation.

The wet pit road debate makes no sense considering every other motorsport series in the world, including IMSA which is owned by NASCAR, has no problem doing live pit stops in the wet. If these are the best drivers and teams in America (or, depending who you ask, in the world) then they should be fine to be left to their own devices. I mean IMSA had pit stops in what was basically a hurricane at Watkins Glen on the same day. Either admit the teams and drivers aren’t good enough or trust them to earn their money and reputation as good drivers and engineers.

Unsung heroes… I want to give a shoutout to the CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) and DSPs (Direct Support Professionals). I’ve been in the healthcare field for two decades, and if you have a loved one who is in rehab or a nursing home, or in a residential facility and developmentally disabled, CNAs and DSPs are the ones who make sure your loved one gets up, cares for all their hygiene needs, helps them navigate the day, EVERYTHING. It is physically and emotionally demanding work and they get paid nowhere near enough. They give so much of themselves to make sure your loved one is safe, happy, and healthy. If your loved one is happy in a place like that, thank those people!!!

I have been a race fan since I was 14/15 years old. I loved your dad. I went to or have watched every race at Loudon. This last race was the very best I've ever seen from a fan's point of view. 4 5 cars wide, come on. P.S. I was born in Derry NH and been here 68 years.

Hopefully the last 82 laps at Loudon was a step forward with damp tires. It'd be great to see teams make strategic decisions the next time. Maybe NHMS can be repaved so they can run the inside lane again and take away the PJ1 stained middle groove.

The problem with SAMs club scan and go is at a busy club you still have to get in the long line to get out the door, they should have a separate line out the door for scan and go. Other than that it's great, been using it for years, it's not new I think they are trying to push it so they can get rid of some registers and people.

Decide what the safe pit speed needs to be when it's wet, then let them pit when they like. Don't care if that's 10mph, just get it sorted and open up pit lane and the strategy!

If Nascar came out and said from this weekend if the pits is declared we then the pit speed limit is 30mph all Teams would have that option ready to go if needed.

The answer to the pit road issue is to build a pit road speed limiter just for rain conditions that’s like 20mph. So they won’t want to use it otherwise and is required for wet pit road conditions.

When its wet weather cut pit road speed in half so if its 40 mph then make it 20 or even 15 mph.

Have there not been any competitive pit stops on road courses during wet conditions? As far as waiting for the weatherm as someone who was there what was frustrating beyond having no communication about what the weather was doing or what NASCAR's intentions or possibilities of the wet tires were, we thought they could have switched to wets and raced until it started doing more than misting/sprinkling. And my question is how long would we have waited for the heavy rain to come? It was like 33 minutes or so, would we have waited an hour? 90 minutes? How long were we going to wait to see of the real rain actually came? Thats what was fristrating about that situation and hearing that explanation when i put the NBC coverage on to wait for a call. And can we talk about NASCAR's yellow procedures? We need a damn IMSA style quickie caution rule. If a yellow comes out within 15 minutes of the start of the race or a restart, we dont need to open pit road. Especially if there is no cleanup needed like in Keselowski's situation and I think Corey Lajoie spun by himself too. You JUST had the opportunity to pit. Lets get back to racing.

If it's an even number lap,then then even number assigned pit stalls can pit and vice versa under green and crew members can't go over the wall until the car stops

I never was a big fan of road courses in NASCAR but having 2 on the schedule wasn't a big deal ... I absolutely hate the one at Indy and am glad to see it back on the REAL Brickyard oval

I don’t care about going back to slicks, it was when they wouldn’t let someone go to their next set of wet. I was mainly disappointed, bc I think it was going to be a great race, if it had not rained.

I wonder if a happy medium between giving teams control and Adam Stevens POV is if NASCAR has to declare the track suitable for slick tires? I mean they're already taking the responsibility by holding their hands making every decision right now. So i dont see why they couldnt take that responsibility for declaring the slicks available.

They should invest in roofing off pit road🤷🏼‍♂️ only would have to be a handful of tracks can put camera under it to record pit road all the time and it helps keep the pit road dryer🤷🏼‍♂️ and potentially gives the ability to race in actual rain

maybe tracks that might race in the wet could have inlayed lines and not just a painted line's. even the start/finish should be inlayed stone and not some hand painted line.

1:19 Our trash guys are just two men in an old pickup truck. My dad always appreciated the one man who had to bust his butt getting out of the truck to grab the trash. He would put out a snack and coke for "him". I asked him one day why he only gave one coke and snack cake. He told me he wasn't going to give the "fat ass" sitting in the truck all day anything while the other one did all the work .🤣 He passed anyway in 2021 and we still carry on his tradition, except now we give both a snack. 🤷‍♀

I think NASCAR made the right decision by waiting out the rain. I wish they would do that more often but I know circumstances dictate that decision looking at the text. Sometimes you can sometimes you can, but I think they did a great job not this one the whole thing yeah I agree wrong thing to do in NASCAR should come out and make a statement Saying this is why we did it and it got to do it safety like you’re saying I agree with safety

Dale needs to be in the cup series if nothing else to remain the biggest influencer in NASCAR. There are opportunities that will not get any cheaper. I have watched all the memories of Sr and enjoyed them all. If you want to expand the sport get more deeply involved. Be relevant. Read the full)&ing room.

Id say with the pit issues with wet tires id say if road speed at normal dry condition lets day are 60mph have a different speed limit when the track is wet go half that go for 30 mph id say at 30mph they would be able to control there car at the speed esp with the wet tire they use its like our cars and at 30 mph on a regular road u can slam on your breaks and u come to a fast stop barely slide at all and id say there brakes are alot better than our cars also do id say thats the only way they can do anything to make pit road safe is slower speeds in the pits and also inforce using the outside lane on pitt road and cant be in both lanes coming into the pits like they do someone times just my thought and idea im sure they will come up with some thing they almost have to if there going to go foward with racing in the rain on ovals they cant keep going this route won't work and bad for the sport

I liked the race but was really disappointed with the sloppy way McDowell ruined the race for Ryan Blaney ..... I'd like to call it a Rookie Move but that would be an insult to Rookies like Josh Berry who raced with respect and maturity. I sure hope he finds a good ride next season because he certainly deserves it
