Good show guys. That second run had some really nice color. I have cooked dinner over a wood fireman the rain several times. It wasn't a failure as the food was good.

Got my first ever prospecting permit for the white mountains last weekend and made the loop up through the kancamangus ,Franconia notch and down through Crawford notch and drooled at all the good looking spots to pan

Just getting into it here in New England, as a kid I did a lot of prospecting with my grandfather who had floating dredges/sluice in streams etc he had wild success but that was all down in Georgia Tennessee and the Carolinas... So I can pan and set up and run a sluice and have a decent idea of where to look in a stream once there but big but, I'm not really sure what areas generally to target here, been looking into geological surveys etc old mine locations but I don't think I quite have the picture pieces together yet, I hope you touch on why your targeting the locations you are.. that's what I'm anxious to hear is what soils formations etc people target in New England...

In my opinion. In New England it's mostly placer gold dropped by glaciers that advanced from the west. The Mountains acted like a razor scraping off the bottom of the glaciers where the gold is dropping it on the western side of the mountain ranges. This hold true for VT, NH and ME. Mt. Moosulaki so that adds to it and it's western slops have good gold. Tunnel Brook, Wild Ammonoosuc, Baker river and others around that Mountain.
