Hamza Youssef blames the Arabs, blames the Muslims, holds the oppressed accountable, and directs gentle reproach towards the criminal and murderous political and military regimes that have killed and displaced millions. He is a product of the counter-revolutions in the Arab world. His speech directed at Arabs, in general, is nauseating for those who understand his intentions. He is either ignorant, which is highly unlikely, or one of the mercenaries who are paid for their services.

I always recommend non-muslims to watch Sheikh Hamza Yusuf. He preaches the true essence of Islam. He has studied a considerable amount of years in Mauritania studying under sanctified saints. I recommend people listen to, Dr Umar Abdallah Faruq, Abdal Hakim Murad, two other great scholars of Islam

You need to read and understand the Quran. And check your understanding of Iman. Only Allah helps you not Hamzah Yusuf. And speaking of Hamzah Yusuf, listen to what he says and examine it carefully you'll soon realize he's one of those munafiqoon who will give you 9 truths slip 1 lie in the middle so you'd take it. Use your mind and be careful. Allah says in SURAT AL-MUNAFIQUN AYA 4 (63:4 QURAN): "And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? "

I am not Muslim, but I read the Quran & am a lifelong student of great saints & religions whom point to the Truth of God, the richness of inner spiritual life & the path of Peace. Al Aqsa masjid (the whole 144,000 square metres in size) belongs to Muslims. It’s ludicrous to think that it should be shared. The Dome of the rock (Qubbat aṣ-Ṣakhra) is a musallah within the Al aqsa sanctuary). Al aqsa belongs to the Muslims. Also it’s important to note that Jewish religious law imposes restrictions on religious Jews on entering the compound.

@@gauravtejpal8901 In Islam we believe its all from God since every religion has something in common. Its not a coincidence. Buddhist also pray similar to Muslims, as do jews. We lay our forehead on the ground when we pray. In Islam we are taught God send all the prophets to teach the message to humanity, but humans kept changing the message, erasing it, twisting it.

The Buddha said that he was not the only only awakened person, there were awakened persons before him and there would be awakened persons after him as well. In the Buddhist tradition, the three essential characteristics of dhamma (noble teaching of awakened persons) are: 1. to abstain from unwholesome deeds, 2. to perform only wholesome deeds and 3. to purify the mind. I can see that all three of these characteristics are there in the teachings of Islam. I also heard that some Islamic scholars consider that the Buddha may be the same as Zul-kifl who is mentioned in the holy Qur'an or another messenger whose name is not mentioned

He fails to ask why Jews and Judaism is never put inder thr same scrutiny despite the fact the % of jews who adhere to extremist views in comparison to thier population is shockingly high.

His views on Israel/Palestine conflict have always been a little screwed if you ask me. His views on this particular political aspect has driven me away from his lectures. I can smell sth there. We need to be cautious from whom we’re getting our religious knowledge. Israel has bought scholars too and given the job to win the trust of people and then influence them according to Israel wishes. Allah waalam. I’m not saying he’s one of them but we need to be careful. I have STOPPED listening to him!

@@delilahmertoglu Yes suspicion is prohibited in Islam but we are talking about an influential scholar here… I did mention that Iam not sure about him being paid or even harassed by Israel (or pro Israel organizations/establishment) but this is not a possibility that can be completely ruled out. We have to realize we are in a time of dajjal and there are many subtle fitnaas surrounding us. Buying/intimidating/ threatening scholars is not unusual, it has been happening since ages. All I said was “be careful.’ He is an influential scholar who has a charismatic personality but I will from now on take anything he says with a grain of salt knowing that what he says may be influenced by things other than just Islam. So the bottom line of my message was “BE CAREFUL!” He’s not an angel (none of us are, we are all humans at the end of the day) and he is not a devil either. He’s just a human like us who has temptations and fears just like the rest of us . I hope I got my message across. Salaam .

It is easy to blame Hamas when you don't live in Gaza. But if Sheikh Hamza Yusuf lived in Gaza which is the largest open air prison, he would probably had joined Hamas. So knowing the perspective of people is important. It is easy to blame this or that why they do that or this. But knowing the perspective is very important.

Hamas emerged from the community of Palestine. They represent the people. October 7 was not attack but was fighting back which fight is continuing since 1948 at full scale against them. Civilians casualty was not intentional. 16:41 So, Shaikh Hamza Yusuf's view is totally wrong in this regard. May Allah guide him & forgive him.

Not knowing Masjid Al Aqsa and Dome of the Rock are a singular Mosque complex, never to be contemplated as free space to build the Jewish temple. This is a very grave mistake by him. Calling it the Temple Mount is also a very ignorant of him and supporting a false Jewish narrative. The whaling wall is not part of the destroyed Jewish temple but an extant wall of a Roman temple. The area of Jerusalem has several mounts attributed to being the Jewish temple Mount proven by bible texts and archeology. Mastery of Arabic language is not a prerequisite of or license for knowledge and wisdom. With all due respect HY is very placid to realities. Benjamin Netanyahu was cultured to hate Palestinians and holocaust them by his father an active proponent of a affiliated group to Irgan. His brother was killed by Entebe security forces in Enteby not Palestinians. This HY is really causing a weak man's narrative unfortunately for neglected Palestinians.

See how the npcs take, from this large well of wise and carefully stated words, a small segment that sounds antithetical to the major muslim political stance and then claim that he has 'sold out.' This man has consistently given cautious and gentle insight on a number of issues, always speaking both from his heart and from his scholarship. He has not compromised his principles. 14:15 I don't think I've ever seen sheikh so speechless and i completely understand because I heard the term "day of jihad" very recently and I was like what on earth is that 😂 coming from a born Muslim I can assure you there is nothing islamic about this concept. Hamza Yusuf is one of my preferred scholar. I just getworried when he starts speaking about Abraham Accord. The west and Israel are not showing honesty when it comes to Muslims while Muslims have to show understanding and compassion when it comes to other religions. It is almost that the whole Abraham Accord is an apology agreement from the Muslims towards the Christians and the Jews

Oh wow!!! Did he justify Natanyahu??? I don’t agree with the phenomena that people who are done evil, do evil to others…. If this is the case then ALL evildoers in this world will get justified including Pharoah and Qaroon and what not…. All evildoers have VERY GOOD excuses to justify themselves. he's giving a balanced view. idf has the highest rate of deserters in the world. a lot of Israelies go to jail instead of serving in the idf. but they are a minority sadly.

Nice interview. Eloquently spoken by Shaykh hamza. However I think there's something about war in general that can only be understood by people on the battlefield. And politics in islam differ from region to region.The West has always tried to generalize Islam into one concept in order to justify their ends. JazakAllahu khairan

This is where these Colonial Settlers should be repatriated back to but peacefully. They have no right to this land. 100% of historic Palestine should be free.

The host is either ignorant or trying to put such questions to Yusuf Hamza about civilian deaths at the hands of Hamas. Doesn’t the host know that latest information about this allegation said that 80% of the civilian deaths was caused by IDF fire intentionally or accidentally. Doesn’t the host know that over 5000 Palestinians which include children and women are lying in Israeli prisons without any due process and under terrible conditions. The host should visit the Palestinians in West Bank and Gaza or even the secular Jews in Israel and get first hand report about the Israeli treatment of the Palestinians.

He managed it well by correcting her within his response MashaAllah, he attributed those claims to IDF. Logically, the Hamas that IDF has recognised has all the traits of IDF, how ironic. They are not even creative with their propaganda. Give credit where credit is due, but criticism should also be directed when need be. Allah bless him for the good he's done, but he himself is a vicitm of the "politics that rip people apart." Many of his Islamic views are heavily affected by politics, leading him to misinterpret multiple many ahadith and Islamic matters, this video being a prime example of him doing so. Aside from changing the meaning of words agreed upon by 1400 years of scholarship, he goes ahead to say early Islam was like an empire. Are we to believe that the 4 khulafa made Islam into an empire? It was during the reign of Umar radhiyallahu anhu that Islam reached places like Persia and Rome, resulting in the likes of Bukhari and Abu Hanifah. Was this the result of an empire? There are many more mistakes, which anyone who studies Islam should know. It's not difficult to look at the context of a verse or hadith which Yusuf has twisted - albeit intentionally or by mistake - and realize where he has erred, and errs again and again. May Allah protect us.

As a Ugandan, u disagree with sheikh hamza on the issue of yoni metanyahu, because Israel wanted to take our country the fact of "field marshal" iddi Amin he had to expel all foreigners in uganda and here came to land on the Israelites who did wnt to go, and their military came to pick them up and they wanted to take our natural resources but it wasn't that the president of Uganda at that time kidnapped them, if so how could you kidnap people who had occupied the Ugandan soil and taking all our natural resources and job opportunities, the reason is Israel has to be fought because the Israel of today is the pharaoh of yesterday
