I'm using parts of this method to build the head for an engine stand and a slightly lighter version, 1.25 inch 10 spline as opposed to the larger 1.5 inch 10 spline, for a car frame rotisserie. I'm using steel I have lying around to build the main frames for both instead of modifying the light weight stand I have. It never fit between the legs of my hoist, and was never fun to move around the shop anyways. The other videos I've seen here of guys using this method are using 1/2 inch bolts to secure the slack adjuster. That immediately set off alarms for me. Not too much of an issue if it's a short 1/2" bolt, but I saw a couple with bolts nearly as long as your solution. No bueno. I prefer your solution, especially on a heavy duty stand.

Awesome, It would be great for that 👍 I have seen many with the long bolts, they wouldn't be good with a heavy load on them.

👍👍..i literally just picked up and assembled the black harbor/ Daytona 1500 lb stand... for a B series Cummins... it's got the hand crank.... haven't mounted one on it yet...you think I may have to modify it before i even use it???🤣🤣

It will probably be fine. I'm pretty sure I saw @I_Do_Cars disassemble some pretty heavy engines on them. It might not hurt to put a jack under the front of the engine while the head is on. If nothing else it breaks, take it back? Just don't be under it. 👍

@@AndyFromm I don't know a whole lot about 24Vs do they require a PCM? Isn't the injection pump not just mechanically operated?

@@alabamamotionpictureproduc6626 i don't have any extra p7100s laying around but I do have a "first gen" rotory ve pump. Thats supposed to be a fairly easy swap
