New harness for all my Humminbirds

Күн бұрынOn today's video, I take my 2019 Phoenix 19 PHX to Nashville Marine to have dedicated wiring for all my Humminbird Units and accessories to include Solix, Mega Live, Targetlock, and Mega 360.

Hello big jim, nice Video…… 👍👍 a question…..I saw that you installed the Kompas Puks emotor and the additional GPS close to each other. I want to do that too. Do you have any interference problems because the Puks are installed so close together? Greetings from Bochum in Germany Christian

What was issue with the factory dedicated wiring? I was under the impression that is why they have a dedicated system by Phoenix.

Could not handle multiple graphs. They have a new harness now as an option. It’s almost exactly as I had installed

@@BigJimFishing I just ordered a 921 Elite this weekend. I hope the wiring is good enough. I would hate to run new wires on a 90k boat with an existing dedicated wiring system

@@BigJimFishing I was under the impression that the elite comes with the integrated wiring harness. I just hope it’s up to par for the price point of the boat.

@@GregFisherAngling not talking about that. Phoenix version of a harness just like I installed. Do what ever man. It’s your boat. But, I know what I’m talking about and have seen it, last week on a 2023 721.

E2, came with boat from Phoenix when 3 or more units are ordered

You’d get an even better picture/voltage if you didn’t run it to a fuse block. Sonarpros or seacclear harness the way to go.

Not so. See if you can get either one of those companies do a live feed with me using a fuse box and them using their harness. Ive asked them to do this but they refuse. Seems like a perfect opportunity for them.... 🤷♂️

#2Today, 04:13 PM Jim, it seems that your Humminbird equipment is going to be safe running on 16 volts. My question is whether or not your boat electrical system is going to be safe running the way you said you were installing the battery. I saw in your install video that you were going to parallel the 16 volt battery to your 12 volt starting battery. It seems to me that the 16 volt battery will hold the boat electrical system at 16 volts, at least until it discharges below that level. And the charging system on the motor will only charge at around a 14.5 volt level, which will not be enough to charge a 16 volt battery. In the beginning of this discussion, I assumed you had the 16 volt battery as a stand alone, with its own dedicated charger. Just my thoughts. Gary.

I think I may be confusing you with another Jim I saw on the BBC forum that installed a 16 volt Lithium on his sytem. You didn't say yours is a 16 volt. Sorry for my confusion.

Gary, I have two 12 volt batteries in parallel. Don’t know where you heard 16.

Both 12 vdc batteries are exactly the same by the way

@@BigJimFishing There is a thread on the Humminbird forum by another Jim who goes by user name "Phoenix Jim", who recently installed a 16 volt lithium on his system. I guess I confused the 2 of you because you both are Jim and you also have a Phoenix boat. Totally my mistake. What I said originally does not relate to your setup. Yours seems to be very well done. Sorry for my mistaken comment. Gary.

@@BigJimFishing I have 2 helix 15 , 1 helix 12 , mega live , mega 360 and a terrova 112 which all have Ethernet cables, that comes to 6 cables. I had to get a second box , how did you get around having to get a 2nd Ethernet box?

@@crappienaterfishing1198 do you have another network device or a non-mega 360? Mega 360 will only connect to a compatible unit's sonar port. However, non-mega 360 (AKA standard 360) does connect to a ethernet port.
