When this Update Goes Live, you should have the default equipment unlocked per Hero you have available and when you build the Blacksmith building there should be levels already on that Equipment. I’m not 100% on this information and that’s why I did not put it in the video. I will say, however, that I will not be happy if I have to start over with all equipment being level 1 like you if I am incorrect.

Does the equipment they give us are going to Be relative to how our Heroes are close to max level? For example my Queen at level 65 should the equipment start at lvl 11-12 when given to us? It’ll be brutal if we gonna grind these things just to get our heroes back to original power levels.

the only nightmare was the cost and time, these new upgrades require no time and can be obtained from just playing Clan Wars which we all do

@@theamazingspooderman2697 most clans wont let you participate if your heroes are down. Previously, most players especially for th9 will only participate in CWL and keep the heroes down the rest of the time. But now, it will take much longer because not only do we need to upgrade heroes, we will also need to take breaks between hero upgrades to participate in clan wars to get the new currency.

The RC abilities not being available yet is probably the only rushed aspect of the update so far. This looks insanely fun to optimize and max out. Vampire Sash King might be the ultimate funneled in the game, ESPECIALLY with the new Mystic Fox. I just hope Gemmers don't break the game becaus Max level equipment was not tested enough....

this update will make the attacks much more hero dependent, meaning that even a single hero missing could be the difference between a win and a loss, which is kind of lame, especially considering that hero upgrades go up to a week

but, your attacks are already crippled starting at even town hall 9 when you get to the higher level archer queen/barb king. you literally have to resort to either drag spam or some unconventional no hero strategy if you're attacking in war

The fact that resources required to upgrade those abilities are unobtainable in normal loot lol. Clash is moving more towards pay to win it seems. Its like requiring gems to upgrade ur town hall for example

Sketchy looking hero update, since it makes not having them available from clan wars or leagues much more of an issue, and the time-gating of star bonuses and wars are gonna cause issues for those who have all 4 heroes unlocked from the get go, they should add more options for ore gathering (like getting some from the forge, purchasing with raid medals, extra gold and silver pass rewards), and increase the frequency of events if its really the only alternative, also at this point can we just make all heroes available in CW regardless of if they are levelling? It really disincentives upgrading them and often leads to rushing or neglected heroes, which they are obviously trying to fix by making heroes go more in depth with this update Also, how are scalings gonna work for those who have maxed heroes? I just got my warden to level 50 at TH 13, and his ability is level 10, am i gonna get a level 10 gear for him with his existing abilities? If so, those with decently invested heroes arent gonna use the new systems for weeks, because of the gap between level 0 gear and levelled gear, if not am i gonna have to farm all the way back up to level 10? Because that feels really bad for alot of the playerbase, and its not really respectful to long term players, i dont inherently hate the idea though, but the lack of defensive innovations and massive increase in offensive innovations are gonna lead imbalances and over complications of attack strategies for casuals, Hope the team listens to the community and finds some way to appease the playerbase with the update,

I loved the way you explained everything. I saw a lot of videos from other youtubers as well and after seeing all of them, I liked yours the most since you explained every thing in detail (level by level). I would have liked it better if there was some gameplay and some combinations in that gameplay tho. But still, I loved this video and understood the update nonetheless. Keep up the good work Jo!!

Since ore is mainly obtained through clan war, I hope we can finally use heroes in war even when they're upgrading. My clan can only war once or twice a week because we all our working on our heroes..

I half agree for my part I find equipment much more interesting than simple abilities. However, it is true that improving heroes seems less important today. I would have liked a system where to upgrade equipment it is necessary to have the heroes at a certain level. Example: Barbarian puppet can be upgraded to lvl 13 if and only if the king is level 55 lvl 14 if king is lvl 65 idk. But maybe this is already the case or it will be changed in a future update.

Wa wa wa, I don't want to hear it. Hero upgrades will always be important because it ALWAYS improves the base stats and potential for your heroes. You'll still get the normal abilities. Nothing is changing aside the way you level up the abilities. That's it.

Really excited for this update the only thing I’m worried about is the collecting of ores only coming from star bonus and can wars. Since most of the time you’ll be upgrading heroes so unless you do no hero wars it’s gonna suck to upgrade the abilities

Don’t try to be a downer here but this is a big p2w update. Heroes are still expensive to upgrade and now they only get stat boost but we have these new currencies that are available for wars. But we still can’t use heroes when they are upgrading!

The defensive nerf and all this massive offensive buff will make every attack like a electro dragon spam except it is extremely easy to get those star. R.I.P. the base building and walls.

To be honest I liked the new way which makes it a little interesting but I felt like it's kind of too much...so now we need DE for Hero lvls, Pet lvls & DarkTroops(lab) plus these ores for Hero Abilities...already grinding DE is such a pain in higher TH now that these other kind of limited resources because the way it can be claimed is restricted (Star bonus - once per day, CW - takes 2days) makes it complicated...

Stay in Titan or begin dropping from legend, if you get new resources from bonus attacks you gain more from being able to do several attacks per day rather than the 8 from legend, at least as I understood how you gain them.

@@crazyfrog7280Your heroes will still have to be leveled up to obtain higher level equipment. While they are leveling up, you will not be able to use them to get daily star bonuses or fight wars to get the resources needed to level up their equiptment. Most players will need 2-5 daily star bonuses in order to level 1 piece of equipment 1 level. Those of us who have figured this out are groaning at how much longer leveling is going to take.

I like that SC is doing something about the hero grind; ways to upgrade heroes without putting them down. th13 will still be terrible. Not thrilled with the new resources coming from war. I typically opt out of war all month (except CWL) to upgrade heroes. If I can get them from raid medals that will make it better. Love the content Jo

I really think there should be something for walls now because it really just feels like a waste at this point, moreover something you’d probably just upgrade for the cosmetic look to make your base look even more “stronger.” I guess it’s just something for end game players who have nothing more to do but dump resources into walls. Another thing would be, I feel like hero’s should have a work around with upgrading. It would be a dream if we could use them whilst being upgraded, perhaps spend 25-50 gems per use to have them once. Other than that I have slight mixed opinions on everything in a broader view but it’s something i’ll have to learn. Nevertheless keep the good work up Joe.

Bruh walls are for getting rid of your resources when your storages are full. End game players? Lmao. Upgrading walls is way easier than waiting years for your buildings to finish. My walls are already maxxed while my buildings are soo far behind, therefore i urgently need new wall levels.

I agree with the heroes I’m annoyed with constantly putting them down and never getting to use them. At least let us use the for war I mean the are on defense so why can’t we use them for offense

If the Royal Champion gets additional items then I'd recommend. Shield Ram - Similar to the Ram Rider she rushes the direction she is currently facing and only stops until she reaches the 10 tile limit. Thunder Spear - Targets the closest powerful defense and throws her spear at it which hits it with a powerful Thunder Blast similar to the E-Drags death effect and ricochet's back to her

I hope they keep the old abilities still powerful, just so people who don't want to learn all the intricacies of equipment (especially cross-hero equipment, there's bound to be some like Queen/Warden combo that STOMPS everything else) can still effectively attack

This is a great video. I could have used more basic info on how to activate the ability and when to do it. It appears the passive ability engages at half life but does engaging an ability cancel the passive?

So, now you will have to upgrade at least three things instead of 1 to get the same features we used to have with heroes. Further, unless you are in an extremely active clan and you are in Crystal II or above (or you spend money) it will take 3+ days to upgrade 1 item 1 time.

HOW MUCH DID THEY DROP A HERO's CURRENT ABILTY AND AT WHAT LEVEL DO I NEED TO GET TO WITH THE BLACKSMITH AND USING THE NEW OARS SO IT EQUALS WHERE WE ORIGINAL WERE BEFORE THIS UPGRADE. hey Kenny, if i'm at th14 does that mean i have to build the blacksmith from all the way up? does that also affect the hero abilities on that town hall level? i mean if my BK is lvl80 but i have to build that blacksmith does that mean the ability of my BK is at lvl1? i'm confused sorry..

Yes, You will need to build the Blacksmith and level it up to unlock all the "NEW" abilities. The original abilities should have levels already on them in the Blacksmith when you unlock it

Question, would hero equipment at lvl 12 equal the same as maxed th 12 prior to the blacksmith update? Can you make a video breaking it all down statistically speaking? Some new th 12s that didn't upgrade there maxed th 11 heros yet, when blacksmith update happened noticed there equipment was lvl 8. If for example warden goes from 20 at th 11 to 40 at th 12 based off that alone, wouldn't that mean equipment level 12 is the new warden level 40? And if so, the equipment maxes for th 12 at lvl 15, wouldn't that mean the hero abilities would be equivalent to a level 55 warden at th 12?

@@KennyJoGaming Well if we just added new abilities and did not have to lose or choose from different ones that are part of the game since the beginning. Plus 3 more new resources to keep up with or try and farm from events or buy just sucks. I mean I like everyone will have to get used to the new abilities of hero’s but just does not feel right. If we could have more then just two at a time on a hero that mite change the gameplay more.

@@nubidubi23yep looks like they made game a bit try hard after adding this building it means only those who regularly takes part in events will have everything unlocked and dark elixir means nothing now heroes are just a high hp+ damage troop and real catch is the new building

If there is limited time equipment you can only get say, 14 days and if don’t get it you can’t anymore until they bring the event back I think I’ll stop playing that’ll just separate the community it’s not like cosmetics where that’s okay

They should had added like a “taunt” ability to the king. To were for example if an Xbow were to lock in to my healers, i could drop the king, hit the ability and have the xbow attack the king if within range. Could even make it with a cooldown, or temporary, were after so much time, the defence goes back to the original target, if within range.

Maybe a future troop ? Taunting Tyranasaur ?? Favors defensive building and had a Taunt ability until destroyed. Give it a small enough target radious to keep the taunt balanced

How can I obtain the resources to upgrade my hero abilities through Clan Wars when I am unable to use my heroes in war because they are constantly under upgrade (I know that we can also get them in the star bonus )? The only time they are available for war is during Clan War Leagues. Can I acquire those resources during CWL?

I paid gems for hero upgrade and now they take back by reducing hp and dmg . And pay again in other way around . They always just look for money. We been upgrading hero for them to take back

The blacksmith building will have to get upgraded to get new equipments. But the lvl of equipment will be your heroes lvl

You will have to build the Blacksmith and upgrade it to unlock the "New" abilities, but the originals should have some levels on them already based on your current progression

Have to say, you did a real good job of trying to sort through all of this and present it. Nice work. But geez how much time does Supercell think most of us have to play this game? Now there are three new resource types to have to chase after and all of these new marginal effects to have to learn...the pros may love this but I fear it's going to make the game feel like more of a chore to a lot of casuals.

Pros definitely won't love that. It makes the game super easy and you have to play clan wars to earn the new resource, which you can't play if you have matches all the time. Furthermore you can't grind those resources so it will take a long time until you are maxed, even if you pay some money AND farm a lot after the update. So, no, they'll hate it😂

What is hero boost? The boost only happens when the ability is active? I notice the barbarian heals a little bit with the gauntlet when the ability is not active. Whats confusing though is that health recovery only happens when ability is activated and it is a hero boos5 as well

I have max queen and warden at th 11 and they have level 8 habilities, are them going to automatically level up once I upgrade the blacksmith? If thats not the case I'll be so mad Also this makes heroes even more important on attacks so not having them while upgrading is even more annoying

Now that the hero potion boosts your heros to max level, is it still worth it to upgrade them? Wouldn't be easier to just stack those potions for CWL?
