Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is a mileage bike available in 2 variants and 5 colours. The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is powered by 97.2cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 7.9 bhp and a torque of 8.05 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Splendor Plus Xtec comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. The Splendor Plus Xtec is a more modern variant of the standard Splendor Plus. This new motorcycle gets minor styling updates through new paint schemes and graphics and also some small feature additions.
The Splendor Plus Xtec gets a fully digital instrument cluster which the company claims are the first in the segment. Due to this new cluster, it also gets Bluetooth connectivity through which calls and SMS alerts can be seen on the cluster screen. This motorcycle also gets a real-time mileage indicator which is quite good because the bike is an entry-level 100cc bike.
In terms of performance, the Splendor Plus gets its power from a 100cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes around 8bhp of peak power at 8000rpm and peak torque of 8.05Nm at 6000rpm. This motor is mated to a four-speed gearbox.
As of now, this motorcycle is available only in the drum brake version. The rest of the cycle parts like suspension, seat and tyres have been borrowed from Splendor Plus. This bike is currently available in three colour options - blue, grey and white.
Hero Passion Pro Summary
The Passion Pro is one of the highest selling Hero motorcycles. It is based on the same platform as its highly-popular model, the Splendor iSmart 110 but gets modern and youthful styling. Along with a new BS6 engine it is also now equipped with lots of features.
In terms of styling, the new Passion Pro 110 looks considerably sportier than the previous model, thanks to a larger and more angular headlamp surrounded by a new bikini fairing. It also gets a sportier mid-section with the presence of fuel tank extensions adorned with prominent ‘PRO’ decals. At the rear, the under seat panels and tail lamp also boast of a sharper design now.
While the displacement of the new Passion Pro remains the same at 110cc, there's a slight drop in power but a marginal hike in torque, both of which now stand at 9.02bhp and 9.79Nm. As claimed by the company, the reworked engine delivers better mileage. Meanwhile, the gearbox is four speed.
For easier riding through traffic, the company has introduced a novel feature called ‘Auto Sail’. It also gets a new semi-digital instrument cluster which shows real-time fuel efficiency, besides the basic data. It also gets features like engine cut off if the bike falls, i3s system. In order to make the overall ride comfortable, the front suspension gets 15mm more travel.
The Passion Pro is available in six colour options - black, red, yellow, grey, blue and one special edition paint scheme.
