So happy to see Disney cast making an effort to make trading on the board s fun again. I was pretty devastated when I dragged my entire pin collection over to WDW and DL from 🇦🇺 last November and came home with about 8 new pins. One cast member had me in tears in the end, asking me 3 really difficult questions about Indiana Jones and its queue. I had to answer 3, not just 1. Like I’m from Australia, I’ve been in that queue like twice! I said to my husband, all I wanted to do was trade a real pin for a real pin. Why is it so hard. And I showed up at DL just days after they banned the benches, so I couldn’t even find people to trade with either. It costs us a fortune for our trips over there (we get US60c for our$) and I was so upset afterwards, I was about to give up trading altogether. Anyway. Glad to see your back making videos and I really love seeing you get together with We Disney!

I’m so sorry to hear about your last trip! Yea some castmembers really make some difficult trivia questions, esp when you have to answer more than 1 question! Usually if I get a trivia wrong I ask them if I can come back and try again later, they usually say sure but it’s a different question of course haha. I think maybe buying traders through instagram would maybe be cheaper? I have a list of sellers on my highlights on my instagram profile who I’ve bought from before who have real authentic pins if you want to check them out. And I also recommend maybe finding a thrift store or antique store in your area! Some people sell their Disney pin collections for cheap. Good luck with everything! Hope you have a better experience next time you visit

Hi! For me I actually love how compact it is so you can easily hop over from land to land and DCA easily. I also like the fact that there’s a little more of Walt’s touch to the parks. I do eventually want to book a couple days at Disneyworld in the future! I’m going to Disney Tokyo next month so I’m super excited about that!..although there is no pin trading there lol

Hi Kris! Love the new video. A lot of new things are happening with the arrival of the new pin sets. So I do have some news for you regarding pin trading in California Adventure, and Pin Trading on Main Street. As of right now, and this came straight from a cast member themselves. DCA will no longer be doing ANY Trivia pins. Why? Because apparently a guest complained about it to management and their decision was to stop trivia pins. What had happened was that a Guest and their child were going for a trivia pin but got the answer wrong. So they didn't get the pin. A different guest heard/witnessed this and got upset and complained to management. I think making such a decision is a terrible one, and they should really reconsider because Trivia pins are fun and are typically the only way for cast members to be able to give out any better pins that they've earned from trading because of the fact that cast are typically not allowed to say no. That being said, this leads me to my next bit of news. The Cast Member you met at 20th Century, along with a different cast member who is also another older gentleman, they are known for having an amazing pin board specifically because they are brave enough to tell guests NO for bad/unfair pin trades. They're brave because there are plenty of guests who get FURIOUS when their pin trade isn't accepted, and sometimes management doesn't back them up when they get involved. I've heard plenty of horror stories from other cast who've tried to politely decline or ask for a different trade from a guest (because they are trying to trade a scrapper or some other unfair trade) and the guest becomes monstrous. The pin trading cast from 20th is only there temporarily, so please spread the word to always respect the cast members who try to keep pin trading fair and fun. I know I'll get some comment about "who cares if it's fake, a pin is a pin" but they don't understand how that affects pin trading everywhere, and the fairness of it all. Glad you found the pins you were looking for! Maybe someday I'll run into you on Main Street.

Wow thanks so much for the info! That sucks to hear there’s no more trivia in DCA! I love when castmembers are a little more picky esp when it comes to the trivia pin, because since it’s a good pin it needs to be traded for one equal in value to keep the fun and fairness going! I respect the CMs like the one at 20th century, I think it motivates more people to bring better pins to trade esp if they buy the fake ones on eBay! Again thanks for the info and happy trading!

You don’t need expensive pins! There’s alot of people on IG that sell good trader pins for $7-$10!

@@Kris10Banci problems with the government they havent given me my check that was supposed to come in july. ive given up, so i dont have tons of money to purchase pins and to me 7-10 is alot for an individual pin ill end up trading. but ill have a look :]
