Fold back the end of the tape on itself and you will have a "lip" to grab and pull ! My husband taught me that, he does it with every type of tape, masking, painter. Duct tape!

You put those things together so well although you've been doing it for a while. I can't get the hang of it I get lost on what to make what to use. I just think I just love watching you do it it's not something I can do because I don't seem to have the ability to do it like you do and some of the other people I've seen make some beautiful journals but I really like making journals to put pictures in. Maybe you could do something like that sometime even though yours is not always like picture oil in it but I was wondering could you do that 1 day it's make a journal to put pictures in not just writing. I'm not sure if that's what I'm thinking about maybe I'm just kind of lost on that idea I have so many pictures and I just don't know what to do with all of them.

I try to keep a bunch of signatures folded ahead, and I adjust them accordingly when I make a journal. It sure helps to save time. You could put cardstock on the inside covers, which makes for a beautiful look also. Thanks for sharing Miss E. 🙂❤️

You do have the choice of painting the outside cover before you glue the fabric down. I use gesso but you cab raid the garage and use latex paint. Test it out if it makes you uneasy.

I like the journal you are making. My first glance at the inside of your cover made my mouth drop. I saw the dates and thought it was the life span of a woman in the book, and it was almost a 200 year old span! Lol 😆 Brooklyn is a peach! Well from what I've seen and heard, all your grands are very kind and loving! Maybe Benji, could do a video on how to set up some of those controls on the internet. I'm so inept when it comes to electronics. I know I could use that kind of instruction! Just a thought. TFS! Hugs from South Dakota 🤗

At 10:53 you said you print your pages on 20 lb. cardstock. Is that correct? The sound went a little funny at that point. I've been using copy paper for my pages. Maybe I should try what you use.

That is correct, it is just regular copy paper, I use HP because I have an HP printer and it makes colors come out more vivid. I print my pockets and ephemera on 32 lb HP copy paper.

Find yourself an old guy in an independent hardware store. You will get your PVC glue. There is still one out southwest of east of here. You live in the south where you can’t throw a cat without hitting a store front hardware. I can see why the young go to the big box stores but you can’t find everything there.
