The best advice I received when my fiancé and I purchased our house was simply not to rush, and that it takes years for a house to become the home you envisioned. When we first moved in our house needed some major TLC and we had our apartment sized decor in a large house and I felt overwhelmed trying to make it into a perfect house on day one. After I realized how unrealistic of an expectation that was, I relaxed into the beauty of this process. It’s been over a year now and I can’t even believe how much our little home has changed into such a beautiful place to live! Congratulations to the both of you on this next step in your journey💕

I couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on tv’s over the fireplace. I feel like a fireplace is a beautiful decoration & putting a tv above it kinda ruins that feeling. Your house is GORGEOUS! Love the bright & airy feel. Gives me ideas for what I want in our future home 🤗

Maybe you could hang some of your plants in the living or dining room using ceiling hooks! Also you can probably put some plants in ur bathroom like maidenhair fern, nerve plant, purple passion, wax flower or the Boston fern bc they all like high humidity. 💛

HI Carrie, what a beautiful home. I love the layout. Back home I found someone who custom built a nice picnic table for me that I placed in the outdoor patio. I also have 5 rocking chairs all painted in different colors around (rocking chairs are a staple in Haiti) what's great about it you can turn it out into a great chill cozy outdoor space:) I can't wait for the other videos!! Carrie, there are beautiful fiddle leaf fig trees at Sunset Merrihew Nursery in Santa Monica. I was coveting the huge ones there. they are $250.00 but they take really good care of there plants. It's on Ocean Park and 16th st. Congrats on the house! I love it!

Completely obsessed with your new desk in your office!! Is that real wood? I currently have a desk I bought from Target that I've had for 2 years but unfortunately it's a laminate looking sticker that looks like wood and it's been peeling off over time and it's driving me insane.
